The Deacon Brooke storyline makes “no sense” at all. As far as I can tell Brooke and Deacon repeat the same dialogue and behavior over and over at nauseam. 😖 This storyline needs to end soon…😡 Deacon and Brooke need to get back in character. Their union is not working… a real “turn off” to say the least. How can Brooke fall for a guy like Deacon in the first place? 😳

@@bettyhopson the problem is they are in character. Deacon had already fallen in love with someone else when he married Bridget. And Brooke did know the kind of man he was( horrible with her daughter and that Bridget loved him) when she perpetually had se x with him. It is not a good excuse saying he was not in love with Bridget and that their marriage was almost over to be free to have se x with him.

I don’t think I can explain her actions in any way? Aside from Deacon, being a son-in-law Brooke was trying to get rid of. I don’t see where either character has anything in common? Deacon and Amber made a certain amount of sense… because of tough background. Here’s hoping that Stephanie can add some sort of “reality” to this crazy storyline. 😮 To me at the moment, B&B seems unwatchable…. don’t care for any of the storylines going on now…🫣

Three things I have to say about this episode : 1. Whip has to be wolverine. Not a scar on his face after being completely knocked out. 2. And did Deacon even shower? 3. And finally, not Brooke telling Whip he doesn't know what marriage is all about. And that you can't fake that kind of intimacy. She's been married to men she didn't really love anyway and faked intimacy (calling Eric! And Grant! And Thorne!). What's one more?

I saw the VCR and VHS just yesterday on this soap opera, I'm seeing corded telephones ringing in the office every now and then, I saw someone photographing Amanda and Rick in a room secretly with an old skool picture device. I can't wait to feel more nostalgia when Amber plays the cassette tape on her early 2000s CD player, while playing the theme song of the Ambrosia line, while she hates it after reading in small letters "Erica Lovejoy" (on that cassette tape) right after it, because Lovejoy sang it.

Erica: "I'm not a staIker" (I'm just staIking the Forresters)." Eric clearly hasn't been taught any kind of normaI sociaI behavior. All she knows is ob ses sion. However, she doesn't come across as genuinely unstabIe, but rather as one who is a influenced by the way she was brought up. She is only repeating the kind of behavior she has seen in her mother, because that is the only role model she has known. In this episode, she tells Ziggy how her mother would always read about the Forresters in fashion magazines. No wonder Erica took after her (especially considering who that mother is). I actually find Erica relatable. _Not_ in the "having Sheila Carter for a mother and staIking celebrities" sense, but in the sense of her being an only child of a somewhat eccentric single mom. I can understand and recognize that moment of realizing that some of the things your mother did and that you thought were perfectly normaI and ordinary were, in fact, quite quirky and not something that everybody does. (I guess all of us have these moments of realizing our families had certain idiosyncracies that we never thought twice about as kids.)

Nice character background analysis! That's something you see in a lot of coming-of-age films about girls (usually in their late teens) where they start to become more aware of their mother's eccentricities. I like your observation the other day too about Erica mimicking Sheila's mannerisms. They're really finding subtle ways to suggest their connection without spoiling it.
