If you ever do another trimmer that needs a carb rebuild, look on eBay. The rebuild kit is $10 - the entire carb, gaskets, primer bulb, enough tubing, is $12-$13, so it doesn't pay to rebuild the old carb. $10 for the kit, $1 for the primer bulb, something for the fuel filter ...

I've tried that in the past but have had hit or miss success with them since they tend to be off on the machining and the tolerances which then cause rough idle and limited adjustment l.

You always wanna rebuild the carb if you can. It always better to have the OEM instead of aftermarket carb. I always try to save the carb first

Check pumping diaphragm for being stiff. Check metering diaphragm for flatness. Clean tiny screen.

I purchased one of these some years back. It would start, but would not stay running. Adjusting the carb did nothing. Returned it. Became the reason why I do not buy stuff like this from a big box store.

Even after fixing it, a few weeks later it did the same thing again and would not start!

@@DLMGarage I have a Bolens BL110, very similar to this one. I hate it, it is the worst. I have to go through this process almost every time I want to use it. I'll clean it all up, it will run great for that session, two weeks later won't start. Ugh!

I have had one for several years. Every year it's not going to start, have to buy carb parts, fuel lines, I would never buy anything Bolens again.
