You put a lot of effort into the videography, I sure like the dual camera angles for critical moments. Voice over makes the message delivery smoother. I like your decision to replace everything for the sake of viewers, even though many original parts were OK. Don't forget to put the link to where you got the parts, as described in the video. Well done!

Thanks for the comments. You sir, are very astute. You picked up on all my efforts. This was my toughest video yet cause I had almost 3 hours to edit down between the multiple cameras. But, I started this channel out of my frustration related to other how-to videos being too dark or shaky to allow me to figure out what the videographer was doing. Thank you as well for the voice-over comments. Its actually easier and more accurate to do the descriptions 'after' the video is shot than 'during' because of the pressure to get the narration correct each time. Narration after-the-fact gives me plenty of time to include items of interest that otherwise I might have forgotten live. Thank you lastly because of your ability to pick up on the fact that the detailed kit installation was not only for the owner's benefit but also for my viewership. BTW: I added the link...it just didn't have time to post by the time you watched. Thanks again.

Excellent Video! I own 2 128LD's. I did what most people do when the 128LD's quit running, except I skipped the step where you throw away the old one. So now I'll do this procedure on the old one (minus the coil replacement 'cause the old coil is OK) then I will be able to leave the string trimmer attachment on one, and the blower attachment on the other. Very high quality video, with time stamps. There must have been a lot of thought and preparation in this.

08:00 You can wrap some tape around the plug head to the wire which smooths the contour and the plug won't catch as much. Makes pulling it out much easier. First tie some twine to the plug and tape over that. When you pull out the wire, the twine can be used to pull the new wire through the pathway and into position very easily.

Though I have been hearing more complaints about the newer ones. Dunno if they are recent qc issues or user error. Just goes to show you that everybody's mileage may vary. There is one more thing you need to check is when you set the gap on the coil and tighten it down make sure rotate the part that the magnets are on to make sure the magnets are not hitting the coil as they go by. In my case they were and I had to open gap a little more so that the magnets would clear the coil. Had I not done this I'm sure it would have caused some damage when I went to start it.

@PilotViewProductions
@PilotViewProductions 3 жыл бұрын
The 'only' reason I can think of that gases hot enough to burn through the air filter would come back thru the butterfly would be a backfiring issue. Since this has a 2 stroke motor so you must mix gas with 2T oil in 50:1 ratio. The 2T (2 stroke) oil is required to lubricate the moving parts otherwise it will "only lasted around 30 seconds".
