BOLIQUEIME ALGARVE PORTUGAL. Thinking something a little bit more rural in Algarve Portugal? This can be the right town for you! Plenty of rural country side but also very close to the sea. Perfect location if you ask me! But what is the perfect place to live in Portugal? I guess only you can determine that because it's a very personal answer. Lovely Luiza! If you want to take a drive to the village the of Alte you can really see an unspoiled part of Loulé. There is a hotel there that a friend owns, that has a wonderful restaurant with a spectacular view! We attended 2 weddings there and had a fabulous time! It really is a charming drive and traditional area. We can't wait to be able to travel there again.... hopefully this summer. Keep the videos coming, I do like the way you video and present in an authentic way.

Thanks for the tips! I actually went to Alte last summer but it was very hot hot hot and I actually had a coffee at that hotel! It's a wonderful idea for a video because the town is truly special, authentic and has green surroundings. Maybe I will make it my next video. I had my eyes on Estoi but Alte is more rural therefore more interesting in this moment for me.

My town ❤️ I live in Benfarras, very close to Vilamoura but also a perfect location for everything. Things you must try- The famous ‘Toasties’ at Oasis Bistro on EN125 and also ‘Real Indian Magic’ just near the Aldi In Boliq. No doubt one day soon I will bump into you :) Regards, Josh

Hi Luiza! Becky here. Imagine my surprise to see you're in Boliqueime! We love it here! It's a quaint traditional village but just minutes to everything. Next time you come hopefully Pub 37 will be open. They have delicious food! As someone else mentioned, try Real Indian Magic and next door is O"Retiro. Beautiful views and food! Beautiful rustique place, love hearing so many chirping birds ... and a special Dutch supermarket? lol..you should visit it and try some things.. Even Algarve have become more expensive it was nice to hear the reasonable prices for the food..that huge plate of soup reminds me of when we were in Lagos, we loved to eat at the local eatery..we had a big bowl of soup with a lot of filling (fish or chicken) for between 0,50 cents to €1 and a lunch plate I could never finish was max €6

I do love to film the sounds of nature, for me are special because in a large city you don't get the chance to hear this. We went to the Dutch supermarket, there were some interesting items but we didn't bought anything, maybe next time. Maybe in Lagos the food is cheaper, everybody says that Lagos is best for expats and for sure it has to do also with the prices.

Oh. And one more restaurant recommendation is The Bird's Nest up in the hills of Boliqueime. Gorgeous food and ambiance! A little more upscale than the average and well worth a trip! Just hope they open next week!

Obviously a lovely town to visit not so much to settle permanently. I would find it too quiet for my liking. The cost of real estate in Portugal baffles me,in view of the fact that it’s supposed to be one of the cheapest in Europe.🤔
