They also discovered that he had a special muscle in his throat that helped him to control his airflow. This muscle allowed him to produce high-pitched notes without straining his voice.  The scientists also found that Mohammad Rafi had a very efficient breathing technique. He was able to take in a lot of air and exhale it slowly, which allowed him to sing for long periods of time without getting tired.  The scientists' findings were published in a medical journal, and they helped to shed light on the unique vocal abilities of Mohammad Rafi.
