Loved this a lot. Those dice had some magic in them in the beginning. Throwing rocks! The one rule I think you’ve got to keep in mind ( I’m writing this the day after watching) is when a vehicle fails its activation, like the hanomag on the rail bridge, it goes reverses and then goes down. So, the hanomag would have been back on the other side of the river and really jamming up the Stug. Looking forward to seeing more scenarios from the book.

Great rolls in the beginning, had flashbacks when me and my buddy where playing and killed eachothers medium tanks using only prep bombardment, thatl probably never happen again in my life lol

Wow. That was a slaughter from start to finish for the Soviet defenders! From the initial artillery barrage to the scythe-like sweeping slaughter by the German Assault Pioneers who ravaged the Soviet right-hand defensive line of living defenders, this was a blütbat. A good game to watch but my condolences to Pat who was too often reduced to a spectator at the execution of most of his defending forces. Well done Peter! Stalingrad may fall to the Sixth Army yet! Come on Soviets, Rodina Mat! Another great video. Thanks for posting these Batreps. Cheers gents.

1:44:11. The German officer (and submachinegunner) are a two-man squad (small squad) which means they are -1 to hit, so it’s not 6s, it’s 7s.

Awesome game my dudes. Love painting minis whilst listening. Keep 'em coming. It's great how you dudes can smash out a game and have a laugh at what the dice decide; who cares if you miss a rule or a tac opportunity here or there? Do you have a tut on how you made that water obstacle? Looks amazing. Also, where did you get the trees? Again, great game.

Thanks for taking the time to watch. Our goal is to have fun first always. We're getting better with the rules and now hopefully better tactical moves as well. The river sections were made from polystyrene and maybe I'll post up a tutorial when i make streams. The trees are Woodland Scenics. I used crazy glue to attach the foliage because regular glue didn't cut it. I then sprayed them down with modge podge sealant because they were shedding like it was fall lol! We'll be filming the 4th scenario this week. Thanks again!

At the one hour mark, the Soviet infantry decide to ‘go down’ before the roll-to-wound but after the roll-to-hit. I think that decision has to be made before the roll-to-hit.

I have a Creality CR-10 v2. For the most part it is a workhorse. There is a little cleaning on the models for sure but I've been happy with it so far.

Great looking board and figures. Couple of rule queries. I thought a tank had to run at least 9" if making an assault move, presumably to generate maximum momentum. If the T34 assault against the Hanomag was allowed, would the Hanomag not have been removed at end of turn due the T34 being the closest unit to a transport vehicle?

Thanks for watching and chiming in. Yes would have to be half their run move and the transport would be eliminated. Might have got the distance incorrect but if I remember correctly my T-34 lost that over run.

Did you decide at the beginning of the game to count that two story ruin as a building? You have to move units out of buildings when HE is around and move units zeroed by mortars. I enjoyed the report. Maybe could have been edited down a little but I look forward to the next one. Vehicles that fail order tests move backwards. Last note, I would have fired the T34 at the hanomag INSTEAD of the armored car. The hanomag was closer and in the open with troops in it.

I need one of those rivers!! self made or bought? loved the battrep apart from the prep bombardment^^ was absolutly brutal💥💥💥 oh and re role those 6s to wound on a second six you can choose which model your apponent has to remove: lmg or nco for example! (its called exeptional damage rule)

Thanks for watching and yes there were some cases of exceptional damage in this one! That prep bombardment messed with my plans big time! I made the rivers with polystyrene insulation.

Hey all, I’m new to BA and loving the videos. I picked up the SS starter army and am wondering how to take 2 Tanks in a legal list? The German player here has two tanks so just curious how to do that (is it a theatre list?).

Thanks for watching! Yes the theatre lists will tell you what you can take in terms of force selection (0-2 tanks from "x" list for example). If you want to take more than 1 tank in a standard list where only 1 is available then taking 2 platoons is possible. However you would have to meet the minimum requirements for each platoon in terms of command etc.. It makes more sense in higher point games to take 2 than it would in lower point games. BA is typically an infantry first game. Have fun with it we're really enjoying this system so far.

No. It depends on the weapon. U atill take modifiers based on distance but even out of range models may fire as they do so at max range at a -1 shooting as assaulters get into range. At 6' or less you may not fire.

This would be perfect to use my KV-2 or 8 in along with my 10 man veteran Soviet Assault Engineers. I call all my flamethrower tanks, war crime tanks, and the people I play with at my local game store hate them due to the whole morale roll you are forced to take no matter if it hits or not. The real nice thing is KV's have the same armor/ DV value all away around so you do not get the modifiers to side, top, or rear shots to them. 3 of my Soviet tanks can have flamethrowers the KV-2 by replacing the co-axial MMG with a ATO-41, the KV-8 which is a downgraded KV-1 by replacing the medium AT gun with a light AT gun and coaxial ATO-41 flamethrower this was the only way to get the flamethrower to fit in the turret was by removing the F-34 76mm with a M1937, 45mm. And then my OT-34/85.
