Great video Troy really fast method. I prefer the more traditional method for my minis. Although I do use contrast for my skin tones.

Yeah, likewise; I definitely think the little extra time spent leads to a better finish, but that's true of pretty much any way we choose to paint. This little guy's kinda growing on me, though! 😅

Funnily enough, one of Vallejo's new Xpress colour paints is called Battledress Brown, not sure how well it works for British Uniforms, as I've not tried it yet, although I like the Xpress colours I've used so far

Great video as always. I have a very odd request. Have you ever tried dry brushing from light to dark? I was looking at a pic of a wild boar to use as reference and noticed that their fur is light to dark. Could you try this?

Have you tried the second wave of Vallejo Xpress paints? There’s several colors that look useful for historical minis.

I haven't had the chance, yet. Haven't really seen any reviews of them, either, which is a shame. I decided to stick with AP and Citadel for this one since it's much easier for most folks to get their hands on their lines from most gaming stores.

Relatively close, though it's a smidge darker and less warm than mine appears. For simplicity's sake, I'd recommend it over having to mix your battledress.

It's pretty close. The colour of British battledress in WWI might have been sliiightly more green; you could try 2:2:1 Brownish Decay, Ochre Clay, Fire Drake to see if that works.

Great video! Im hoping to find a quick method like this for doing soviets in their khaki uniforms. My own recipe seems to be struggling

Tweak some of the proportions in this and it should look close enough to the Soviet khaki - maybe just a little less of the Fire Drake so the end result is a bit more green, should do the job.
