Bolt Action Tactics - British Veteran Infantry Unit Overview

Yes I know this was forever ago but I had a comment on the late war Brit Infantry. You mention the combination of fire and movement by multiple squads, one firing, one moving and one as you please. The problem I see is while this comment reflects the infantry tactics of the day and onwards, in the game it is almost impossible to manage this due to the draw dice rule which means you can't co-ordinate as you would like as when the first unit moves the firing unit may not be called on for easily up to three actions later. The record for me and my son is he drew five straight German dice, with devastating results. Under such circumstances I don't see F&M being all that effective. I'm thinking, move and fire for all three squads.

Love the Historical Background. Man those Stubborn Paratroopers. Love em! Even if I have to face them Like today. I run today my First German Inepxerinced Kübelwagen with a Flamer Squad in it. And I fielded my First Waffen SS Fanatics with 3x Assault Rifles, 3x SMGs and One Rifle. (Man did I love the Assault Rifles!) My Puma and Panzer 4 Ausf A, Dueled the enemy Itallian Dakka Tank and an Autoblinda. Tons of Fun. Do you still Play 40k. I dove into Bolt ACtion in November 2023... And I played a lot of Age of Sigmar, I Warhammer Fanatasy Armies and Played Recently 40k 10th Edition Again...and its great. But I am thinking about shutting some Gamesystems down...selling it of, and creating funds and Space for a new Allied Army. Maybe the Brits. Your Videos with Chindits, all those coole National Rules... And I have to say, after Fielding German Tanks... I might look forward to fielding TANKY TANKS°° hahah A Cromwell? A Churchill. Oh they are so cheap^^ Bren Carriers.

Gurkha's are really strong but their reputation is a little over blown. I've thirty plastic kitbashed Gurkhas and I've never done that well with them, people know to hang back and blast them like they're taking on Japanese infantry. Only charging them when they've whittled the Gurkhas down.

I think you're right and the shock the first time you face them leaves a lasting impression which has overblown them a bit. Undoubtedly good value rule though...in that finns pay a full point per man for tough fighter alone haha

@@scholaprogenium7276 Oh yeah, they're definitely undercosted. One point for though fighter is standard for almost everyone else. But I'd rather take regular rapid fire rifle infantry in chunky squads. Even vets are too flashy for me.
