Bolt on MLOK Accessories for the Ruger PC Carbine

If you go with a scout mount light the Proctor Direct Mount would probably be the best combo with these. it basically sandwiches the mlok and the light together, very flush fitting

If you remove the sling stud most rail mounted lights work I've ran a tlr 1 and a protac as well as a random amazon light they all fit so long as I removed the stud

What is that full rail you have mounted on the stock barrel.... you show it on both pictures of intro to the articles you are introducing..

I added this but am now having a difficult time finding a bipod that fits this short M-Lock platform.

Ok I just stumbled on this video. I have greater interest in that pic rail you got across the top of the barrel. I have already replaced the original foregrip for a UTG slim version with the Mlok slots. I was looking at Samson industries pc scout rail to complete the look I’m wanting. If that is what I am seeing in this video, what’s your honest opinion on that rail? Is it worth the purchase?

I put a SME light on a vertical fore grip attachment on my traditionally styled PC 9 . It is a perfect and solid fit that does not interfere with the sling. I also have a quality red dot sight on a see-through mount that allows an instant choice of sights. I am as happy as a clam at high tide. I can not think of anything else that I would want to add. But then, each to his own.

The PC carbine has been one of the best 9mm shooters.. it's accurate with the cheap 115fmj ammo... I sighted the rifle at 25 yards, hits on 50yds , groups the size of a fist at 100yds... sand bagged..

It really is just a fun gun to shoot. It's got the capability (accuracy and takedown) to be a really useful survival or specialty gun.

I really hate that i have to choose between mall ninja tacticoool looking gun or give up use of a light/laser/optic. I love the blend of traditional asthetics with modern technologies. Ruger could have easily just added a few mlok holes on the side of that smooth forend instead of making a tubular aluminum one

That’s a fair point. 2-3 MLOK slots would seem fairly simple to have added to the standard handguard. Magpul managed to do it.

@@guntoter_official Thanks for the link. Have you noticed any vertical stringing in your shot placement as your barrel heats up after attaching the rail? Just wondering if the different thermal expansion rates of the barrel and rail have any effect on the point of impact.

If you think for one second that the Ruger PC carbine is not capable as a fighting weapon you are sorely mistaken sir.

I never said you couldn't fight with it, but it would not be my first choice unless something indicated the need for a breakdown 9mm carbine. Unless I had a very specific reason (and I can think of several scenarios), I'm going with a gun that allows me to shoot both long and short distances (CQB to 300+, accurately) and has a plentiful parts supply. The PC Carbine fulfills a very specific niche, and will undoubtedly serve well in that niche, but it remains a specialty gun.

This carbine is really heavy to begin with. Once you finish bolting on these options you’re gonna need to take a dollie along with you so you’re carbine can push you out to the bush.

It's the same weight as an AR, so I guess we have different definitions of heavy. Either way, you only put the accessories on if you need them. I would argue in the bush, you probably don't need the rail if you're using it as a survival gun. Then again, if you're using it as a home defense gun, a flashlight might be useful, so you might need the rail, but you're also not carrying it very far. Equip for the mission and understand the trade-offs.
