Watch/Listen to his pod. He was this way on ESPN, which is why they fired him. He is too smart and asks the correct questions to find real answers that nobody wants to give....and he is not afraid to air his thoughts and evidenced conclusions. We need more people like Bomani.

The correct move would be to just pay him, fire the person the promised him the money and then get everything in writing. Now, you've created a PR nightmare that might result in a major stepback. Remember: this was the GREATEST football season in UNLV history. It was worth fixing it without people finding out about it.

If the school paid him they should have transaction receipts to back it up, can’t imagine they’d be giving that much money in cash.. but if the athlete was promised more than what they gave him and they are saying there’s no written proof that we told you we’d give you more then good for him for leaving.

Correct me if Iam wrong. But right up to the start of the college season agents kept calling Mike Gundy at Oklahoma State demanding money. Think he said he had to sit players down and tell them to tell there agents to stop calling cause football season had start. Would not be surprised if stuff like was going on at other schools during the season.

Honestly the only way to get out of any of this, is that universities need to get out of the football and basketball business and recruit students first, and let pro athletes find another world to become pro, think Caltech and MIT, less Alabama and LSU.

It’s not that simple. There’s more to this. There has to be. There was definitely plenty of time to work something out once it was realized that either UNLV couldn’t or wouldn’t pay the money. It probably happens at a lot of schools. Some bozo near or in the program who has no clout runs his mouth about money, gets a kid excited then they have to walk it back and make compromises.
