ATTENTION ALL MEAT-MECHS (that's you all, you're piloting a flesh robot remember that): New CrewBoom update! That's the Giygas Method, that's what it's called now! SEE. IT DOES THINGS. THINGS THAT MAKE AL'S LIFE A BIT HARDER. SO. ONCE YOU EXPORT YOUR MODEL, YOU ARE NO LONGER GOING INTO THE PLUGINS FOLDER. YOU'RE GONNA GO TO THE "config" folder which is in the same folder as the plugins folder! Then, you're gonna find something called "CrewBoom", it's a folder in there, you get it by running the game once like you do for Bepinex after you install the "Crewboom" plugin as described in the tutorial. Drop your mods inside of THERE now. You don't need a CharAsset folder in the config>crewboom folder, just drop it off IN THE CREWBOOM FOLDER. OKAY. THANK YOU.

Hi, I was wondering if you could help me? I'm trying to load characters from the CrewBoom folder like it says on the site, but it doesn't start the game when there's the .cbb and .json files, it says in the command promt error unity log: an item with the same key has already been added. key 67". any clue with that? T.T

Hi,I'm running into a bit of a problem that I do not know how to solve since I don't have expertise in this kind of stuff. I'm trying to make work a couple of characters from GameBanana (Phos and Diamond (Houseki no Kuni)) that were originally conceived for SGiygas BRC Custom Characters, but now CrewBoom is used instead. The problem is that the data from that mod doesn't come with a CBB & JSOn of the characters so when I drag the files to CrewBoom i assume they don't load for that reason. Is there a way to get the characters to load ? Idk what to do, thanks in advance.

Excellent tutorial and muchos gracias. Congarts also for being the only tutorial out there, for this specific mod! ^^ Unfortunately (after watching the video multiple times and re-reading the wiki) I have appeared to have encountered an odd bug with the mod for a particular model I want to use. Renamed the armature "root" but it still wouldn't register. Hopefully this bug gets fixed in the future. Update: Currently working with somebody, to figure out a solution.

Remember to observe carefully which part is named root! It's the object, the orange one, not the green one in the hierarchy. I don't know if spanish is actually your first language or if you're just being silly, but if it is I can understand how the language barrier might make this hard. Your english is more than passing to go ask about it in the Discord server, which is what honestly the best course of action is for you after this. I assure you, the tutorial DOES work, it's just difficult stuff, it's not a glitch in the program, I can already guess 15 ways you might have messed it up a bit (which is totally fine, and normal, and nothing to be ashamed of, I'm just reassuring you that it is not in fact the program and you can do whatever you're trying to achieve!)

@@projectalpha22_va After about 2.5 days of Unity errors/ receiving assistance from some lovely individuals in the Discord server, I was finally able to get this mod to work! So I thank you and everyone in the Reptile Hideout discord in advance. As far as the language barrier goes? I am indeed learning some new languages for fun slowly but surely/I do suffer from Social Pragmatic Communication Disorder. ^^ But nonetheless, it is done and myself (along with two others who suffered from this same issue with Unity and not the program itself) can finally enjoy our mods! ^^ Time to get funky! OwO

Rewatch the video and follow all the steps, or join the Team Reptile Discord where there are plenty of helpful people willing to answer any questions you might have. There's even a specific threat just for the Giygas method!

There are free obj to fbx converters online, I'm using on to try and rig Ikki Minami's model from that PSP game at the request of this gamebanana thread. But I also have no experience so I'm probably going to need 10 more tutorials.

If it's an OBJ? No skeleton is in there. They're not going to magically appear, you're gonna have to rig it manually, an FBX doesn't suddenly rig it for you. Just want to make that clear.
