In case of our society, yes patriarchy exists and in fact it has been there, even before 2014, hell the khap panchayats whom you support today are the worst patriarchal shitholes who ban jeans in villages. India has a strong society and weak state. we need strong state and a society that is not able to go against state otherwise its a recipe of disaster and patriarchy thus would never go. The only way patriarchy can go is through NGO and GO together working together at grassroots level. Your privileged urban mindset is restricted to your twitter and what happens here and there. The reality is there are a lot of things schemes groundwork that happen and that India has been going better. Apart from the fact that I actually dislike modi but atleast better choice than rahul gandhi. I hope there is some good politician that comes out who has roots and real life experiences like modi but has a little nuance and understanding of things and is atleast educated to do second order implementation of schemes

While I agree with your tone of journalism and appreciate your work. But is newslaundary a non profit organization?, why not create a decentralised network where contributors from groups like NLSena (not subscriber, since they are getting a service in return) starts owning the company. I think it will help grow newslaundary where people will start funding not just because they believe in your idea of journalism but also because they will get in return something. This might end up bringing subscription plan down which makes it more affordable plus may be make things more regional.
