Bombing up the Dark Side. 68004, 88007 & 88006. Old Hill, 30/05/24. Also 88006 at Cradley.

88006 is seen first on 0Z67 Crewe - Worcester, wasn't sure what this was for but it was due there at the same time as the flask train from Bridgwater. Came as no surprise really that it came back on 6M67 Bridgwater - Crewe. Maybe a problem with 88007, so for safety reasons in case the 68 failed.

Thanks. It would've been totally into the sun at Cradley, my local station, so gave it a try here. Yes, the exhaust showed up very well & I wasn't bowled, makes a change!!!

Thanks Roger, I thought it would be better there than Cradley & it turned out OK. Cradley no good for evening shots as sun totally in the wrong place, as I found out the other week.

88 had failed I’d heard so another loco was sent to rescue

I guessed one of them had a problem, and the way the 68 was going up the bank it had to be the other loco.
