The whole ‘Ponderosa’ thing is such a fabulous concept. Lake Tahoe, the mountains and forests are stunningly beautiful. Hop Sing cooking for you and all the money you need. Gorgeous, manly men with perfect manners and ethics. Still watching Bonanza after 50, 60 years. Like Dallas and the Ewings, the Cartwrights are compulsive viewing. They don’t make programmes like these anymore.

Michael Landon told a story on #JohnnyCarson interview of Lorne's 'infamous' toupee. He had to jump in water for a scene and as soon as he hit and went under, the #rug sat floating atop the water. Then he said of course they all sat there waiting, watching but Lorne wouldn't surface. Long time passes, and suddenly, a single hand pops out and starts searching for the hairpiece. He wouldn't come up without it!

However, after seeing a number of episodes of Bonanza with an identical setup, but with snow-covered mountains in the background, it may be a movie set in California. Old Tucson studios has some hills for a backdrop, but are much too low in elevation to have snow in the winter.

It's from the Storyline on www.imdb.com/title/tt0529539/ .
@cacatr44956 жыл бұрын
honey owen That's not "wealth of knowledge". That's called looking things up, checking the descriptions of episodes, original date aired, and (likely) copying and pasting them. Would we think this person had memorized entire descriptions and the date every episode aired? If people will learn how to look things up, they can find out lots of things. One shouldn't assume it's personal knowledge. Besides imdb, there's entire websites also holding that information, that are dedicated just to Bonanza.
