That’s about the only thing that’d make sense, for most channels each view is worth a fraction of a percent of a dollar As a channel gets more views the value of those views goes down so they’re probably getting in the low hundreds for these videos, $80-$150 a video at most

Apparently it’s actually used as a cosmetic component, but to be honest with you it seems like a really useful thing to have in a test kitchen, you could use it to mist things for photos (way finer particles of water than a spray bottle), wet delicate things, apply a sheen to candy, I’m sure there’s a bunch of other uses for it but it seems like less of a novelty when you think about this use case

Cutting silpats is dangerous. They're made of fiberglass sealed in silicone, and the fiberglass will end up in your food. If you knick one with a knife, you're supposed to throw it away.

Ikea makes a cheap huge silicone mat called sockerkaka, its like 9$ that I can recommend for bakers on a budget or for cutting custom sizes. Like in the video. I bought mine and cut it in half. I used on half for my biggest cookie sheet, and the other half I cut into custom sizes. (I’m Swedish so sockerkaka means sponge cake, but literally translates to sugar cake, if anyone wanted to know)

For some reason, I only watch this channel when Claire makes something. She always achieved making the impossible. The rest of her colleagues just make normal dishes while she is always making gourmet snacks. Really impressive and entertaining. 😄

Watching these episodes is fascinating and the process of transitioning from test kitchen to mass production is really interesting. The chef's come up with the recipe, the ingredients and the cooking process then hand it over to mechanical engineers and electrical engineers to figure out how to scale that up to millions of units per day and keep everything super consistent. I dunno, I find it fascinating anyway

@@rxph_hpxr6966 No. Kinder as a company doesn't exist in the U.S., to my knowledge. I don't think we have any Kinder products. We had eggs at some point in the early 90s, I think. Might just be confusing them with the Wonderball period, which is basically a ripoff of the idea.
