@tortue1227 Жыл бұрын
@@Lizzo13 it's more ubiquitous than that. They're not sold in the American/world section. Doritos are sold in the crisp section with a dozen varieties. They even do Doritos dips. Oreos are sold in the cookie section but in the UK there's only one or two varieties, unlike the US. Pop-Tarts have been in the UK for 30 years. Lay's are known as Walkers in the UK. Like Paul says, Snickers exists in the UK but with different chocolate. Paul and Prue have definitely tried all the brands I mentioned. They are downplaying their familiarity with the products for the sake of the video's theme.

@@tortue1227 I mean it depends on whether they've ever reached for those items to try them, IMO. Especially if they're shopping at idk, Waitrose and going straight for the fresh food, maybe popping over to the biscuit aisle - if they EVEN are shopping themselves. Anyone else notice at 3:38 Paul says "lairs" which I think is a nod to Mary Berry Prue's predecessor on Great British Bake Off. For anyone that doesn't know Mary famously pronounced layers as "lairs"

Ruffles are for dipping, Pop-Tarts are put in a toaster so they “pop” up, Oreos dunk in milk. Andy Capp Cheddar Fries are one of my favorites.

Well, one American chef and one non-American chef. Pru isn’t British, she is South African.

Prue has also lived in the UK most of her adult life, in her heritage British culture. So, to say she's not British because she grew up in ZA is rubbish.

They’re eating the Oreos dry, and complaining about the excessive crunchiness and dryness. Dunk an Oreo in milk and it’ll have the texture they want. “Milk’s favorite cookie.”

First of all, giving them un-toasted Pop-tarts to sample is heinous. Like, "Here have some dried pasta vs. a slice of pizza." Follow up video: using snacks as ingredients. Ex: Oreos in cookies & cream ice cream, crushed as pie crust; chocolate covered potato chips, crushed chips as coating for chicken tenders; topping for casserole, Toasted Pop-Tarts used to make ice cream sandwich.

"it tastes like a British crisp" Walker's 👏 are 👏 Lay's 👏 Lay's bought out Walker's a long time ago and even tried to change the name but it tanked so they changed the name back to Walker's but it's still the Lay's chips and logo. It's all PepsiCo, which also owns Doritos. Sidebar I think Brits would like Ranch if you called it Buttermilk, Garlic & Herb .
@ComedianReacts Жыл бұрын
Walkers are owned by Lays but that doesn’t mean they use American potatoes or the same production process. Lays are much greasier and taste cheaper. There are better brands in either country regardless, but it’s much easier to find quality crisps in a UK supermarket as most have their own in house quality brands which are like kettle chips, and higher quality seasoning on them. 😋
