I used to think fires weren’t scary at all and you could just outrun them, I was way wrong! There terrifying! Being trapped with traffic and panicking people while a fire comes down a mountain is scary! And the thing about living in rural areas is we don’t have many escape routes so it’s easy to get trapped. Our small town didn’t get any alerts from anyone before it engulfed everything. Since then they installed a siren to alert us.
