The plaintiff was clearly trying to dodge and talk around what JM was asking her for. When people do that they're usually trying to keep the other person from knowing something. The judge picked up on her tactics. I think she was trying to get more money than what was owed. She should've just stuck to the facts

Everything she said made complete sense and it was clear as day. The rental car company took $1400 from her bank but the reason she was suing for more was because Avis sent her a bill later which added up to the total amount of over $2,000. Also the $800 went towards the car in November but wasn’t paid after that. I mean I’m I right or wrong but this case was very clear.

She even said from the beginning of her testimony that she had gotten several rentals for the Defendant in the months before and the Defendant paid them off so she trusted her to pay this last one off just the same and the Defendant acknowledged that was the case. Then when the Defendant said she gave the plaintiff 800 total, the plaintiff explains that was for the rental BEFORE the last one she's suing about, what doesn't judge Mathis get? Why does he get so damn emotional and start yelling and acting agitated so quickly? This lady helped her twice before this rental and never had any discrepancies so I don’t think she would have randomly chosen this time to do so. I think she was attempting to get money that she feels she was owed and needed a little patience from the judge to help prove her case.

It is her job to prove her case NOT the judge's job. Part of what he became frustrated over was that she had all those papers, came into court and was not prepared and then got angry at the judge. She said it was TWO rentals. The defendant said it was ONE rental. The defendant showed a text that proved to the judge that it was one rental. Simple, you are coming to court, be prepared. You can't spend your time now preparing; it is time to present your case and evidence.
