The young MUA has a lot to learn. The fact that you are charging for services and you have an incomplete kit? That’s not good. You don’t have to have EVERY shade, but enough to make the shades you need. And a look with glitter shouldn’t take that long. This was a great case. I like how they were both civil and fair, stating where they both know where they went wrong. I also like how the judge ruled in this case, the timing of the questions to get both to see where they fell short, and how it was unfair to the other party. No yelling from the judge, just asking good questions and spitting facts. But yeah, the plaintiff is pretty. I wish both of them success in their businesses.

If she’s so particular about her looks why didn’t she book an actual trial with the makeup artist. Also, $800 for 13 bridesmaids done by 2 artists is suuuuuuuper cheap! Lastly, 13 ladies done by 2 artists is very doable. Split 6 and 7 per artists, 45 minutes per each bridesmaid will take a total of 4.5-6 hours max for makeup services per artist.

I was the MOH in my best friend wedding and the make up artist (who was also a bridesmaid) did 13 ppl makeup. 10 bridesmaids, mom of the Bride and the bride it’s possible but we had to start at 6am 🤦🏾‍♀️ then 1 of the other bridesmaids had to do her own foundation cuz we were pressed for time! That’s a hard job to do

I don't understand canceling the contract only to have the bridesmaids wake up early still... and the wedding still is a 1 hour (probably more I think the friend was trying to be on her side) late. She secured another artist to help when her assistant bailed, tried to work on all the wild requests and you still weren't satisfied. 3 green looks with glitter and 13 bridesmaids for only 788 is a STEAL. The aunt was interfering. The girl is too young to understand that she needs the defendant for networking purposes. She took on a job that was above her capabilities, especially time wise. Moreover, she tried to cheat her out of $100. I disagree with JM. The plaintiff only should have been allowed to keep the $100 deposit. The rest should have been a learning experience. I'm still not convinced that the plaintiff fully understands where she made her mistakes.

Contracts are contracts. The defendant signed a contract agreeing to pay the full balance if she canceled less than thirty days before the wedding. As a wedding planner the defendant should have known how to handle this better.

The judge even said why not just back out based on any of those breaches.. ultimately the plaintiff could not provide what was contracted and she should have got nothing.
