@@stephaniekirby3073 I see what you're saying and it wasn't terribly diplomatic, but there is no escaping the fact that men are physically built differently to women. They are coursing with testosterone and it means they are stronger, faster and have more stamina. Of course this isn't all men and not all women. It certainly doesn't mean Brooke isn't a good life guard, she clearly is. The difference can be celebrated though, because being smaller and lighter will give her certain advantages in the water when doing rescues. As a bloke, if you're going to rock up to Bondi with 5 years experience, in the prime of your life and telling everyone you can swim just as well as any of them, then you really should be able to beat the only female life guard. If women at peak fitness could keep the pace of men at peak fitness, then we would have mixed teams for sports. We don't, because they can't and that's perfectly okay. Love the differences!

My dad used to be a district commander for Queensland fire service and sat on the selection board for recruitment of new firefighters for the fire service. I grew up at a fire station.They liked ex military and emergency service as they knew they had the organisational skills under pressure. I expect his recruitment for the fire service would almost be a no brainer 😀

Just wanted to clarify that there are more stars than grains of sand - There are about 10,000 stars for every grain of sand on earth (on every beach combined and anywhere else sand exists on earth) - However the fact he was clearly in the thought process there that is a win in itself - and he even didn't sound sure in his own voice - which makes me think he does actually try to understand how everything works which is amazing - and I would imagine he looked that up afterwards as well and now knows that too.

As someone who has guarded several pools, that can get wild, for the past 3 1/2 years- this show reinforces why I will never be a water front guard. These people are a different breed of guards. My pools are fairly large and have heaps of people in them at one time and frankly stress me out 90% of the time 😂 I cannot imagine being a water front guard

Just found this channel last week. So glad I did. I'll never understand people who would go out in the ocean with strong rips and swells to swim, when they don't know how to swim. I'm a strong swimmer and I wouldn't go out there. (Ok, I did once on a boogie board in La Jolla in 2003 and told to move down to the swimming area. Which I did.) Love from the USA.

It's easy to just make a big sign with someone's name on it to use at the airport especially if you don't know what they look like. You can also just check with them on what they're wearing before they get there. 💙

Yeah he managed to insult three people at once with that comment. Brooke is a good lifeguard full stop, regardless of gender, the same with maxi and his age. That's why they're there. And who says Kyle doesn't look super fit? Fitness is more than just ripped abs, and Kyle looks actually fit, not just vanity muscles.

I know exactly how these swimmers feel, I was swimming in a rapid in Malawi when I was 9 and the temp of the water was 8 degrees, after many minutes I became very cold on a rock and as I dived to swim toward the landing a dude jumped onto my back and stood on top of me as he was afraid he was going to drown too and I was under for many seconds, as I came up I was totally finished and luckily someone saw me.
