I lost my cat to a dog mauling, she couldn't outrun my dad's dog who jumped the baby gate. the pain I felt and still feel is tremendous, but it's nice to see other pet parents get to go home with their babies. give your pets all the love you can, because they can be taken in the blink of an eye

I live in a neighborhood with a lot of aggressive dogs. Most of the pitties are pretty well socialized and sweet. The dogs owners all act totally shocked that their dogs are aggressive. The most aggressive are an Australian shepherd, a westie and a golden retriever.
@Mserg_599711 күн бұрын
So it's really cool to find somebody who acknowledges that. In fact, Golden retrievers can be quite aggressive and blaming the breed only does a disservice to the dog and the owner, as well as a disservice to dog shelters everywhere.

Farmers have outside cats to help with rodents on the farm. We are glad that all the awesome vets were able to help with the animals. Prayers for healing for all the fur babies.

@gooberpeas535 Yes but farms should be the ONLY places allowed to have outdoor cats. Anywhere else should be illegal!

Were my use to use to live, there are feral cats. There were rats or mice. A dog, my family use to have was a rat terrier. If remember correctly, she caught rats or mice. We sit down and thick about it. Feral cats can help with rat/mice population. They have to be caught and fixed and released to keep from having more babies. You see cats, multiple like rabbits. I use to live in country and I know. Especially dump animals and appliances too. Far as I know, the people never got caught.

My chihuahua was attacked by a German Shepherd when she was only 5 months old and almost killed it was only her padded coat that saved her life, similar to this young dog it has been the mental damage that has done more long lasting harm. I've spent years working with a behaviourist to try and help her she now lives with 3 other dogs and gets on great with dogs she knows and regularly walks with up to 30 other chihuahuas on a weekly basis but she is still terrified of dogs she doesn't know especially German Shepherds. I don't blame the pit bull in this story but I absolutely do blame the owner

I love how you say you don't blame the pit bull but blame the owner. Hope your baby feels better x
@cobramom314 күн бұрын
@@michellejones5541 it is absolutely correct to blame the owner. I have a German Shepherd who looks huge and scary, but she is an absolute nanny dog with the children in our family and with all of the rescue animals I bring home. You could always find somebody close to you who has a German Shepherd like mine for your Chihuahua to just hang out near that way the exposure therapy might help.

Poor Jimmy Choo. I wonder what kind of big dog he picked a fight with. A mastiff? A wolf hybrid? I don't think k he'll be digging under the fence again. If he were my dog he wouldn't be going out again until the fence was fixed so he'd never be going out again.

I am the keeper of domestic shorthair breeds and if I kept my girls and all the time they would make us all crazy in themselves me my dogs play Chase birds they chase insects they chase the other dogs on the farm yes as a cat she chases dogs and she loves it inside the house she runs around bouncing off of walls off of furniture and more frequently than not head first she has way more energy than my home can contain contain
@tweets00913 күн бұрын
@@dawnquade1486i feel like it's different if you have a farm and multiple other kinds of animals that all work together to do different "jobs", but generally if you just have a regular house with actual pets they should really be kept inside and there's still risk anyway even with other scenarios like a farm but also if you (not specifically you) say they have more energy than you can contain or manage then you shouldn't get a cat as a pet and get a smaller animal that's a bit more manageable

@@dawnquade1486Your convenience/laziness as an Owner is not a good reason to allow your cats to venture outside. As an Owner, it is your job to provide enrichment for your pet, and your excuse is to put your head in the sand like an ostrich ie. I’m too lazy as an Owner to provide my cats with enrichment indoors, so I will roll the dice and let them venture outdoors. What a cop out.

I was searching for this comment. Like do I want the cat to survive? Yes. But that snake is so cute, why is she not getting medical attention 😅
@aaaaaaaa-lb9lo7 күн бұрын
@@sashafokht365 She was given attention, but with a dislocated spine, it was decided to put the snake down. With deformities and injuries to the spine, you run the risk of a slow and painful death whether that be from starvation since the injury prevents them from keeping food down, or constipation because the dislocation is essentially acting as a blockage and deforming the intestines.

It’s best to keep them indoors unfortunately not all cats want to stay inside. I have one that likes to come inside to eat and visit, but after an hour or two wants to go right back outside. We have to make sure we stay up-to-date on all of his vaccinations and we give him a safe place to hide and to just be safe and comfortable, we just trying to keep him as safe as humanly possible.
