Thank you, once again, Dr Newson, yet another piece of vital information. I had a DEXA scan that revealed I have osteoporosis in my legs and osteopenia in my spine. I’m relieved to learn I can reverse this condition. The technician who ran the test told me it was reversible, she also said I should request a blood test to check for inflammation. I’ve only just remembered that, I need to do that. 🤪

What is the dosage of testosterone for à woman ?

Utmost respect for you Dr Newson. I would like to point out a few things you might not know about hormones and osteoprosis that are important for patients to know..... because the medical systems are sort of like sluggish turtles ( more like snails) when it comes to important information and they just dont respond quickly to findings or change their HRT proceedures. 1. Estradiol does not build new bone but only slows down bone loss. It doesnt really help if you already have osteopenia or osteoporosis. But of course Estradiol is good for many other health issues in the human body. 2. Three hormones help significantly in stimulating the bone building cells. Progesterone, Nandrolone and testosterone. 3 Progesterone mitigates cortisol driven bone loss. However the other progestins [ like MPA and levonogestrel ] do not function in this capacity 4 MPA and levonogestrel [ and its other engineered derivatives] actually interfere with progesterone doing its positive things. So even if you give progesterone but the woman is also on MPA or levonogestrel; it can be as if the womans progesterone shes taking or her own progesterone cant work correctly. PROGESTINS INTERFERE WITH PROGESTERONE....

@menopause_doctor please can you do a video on people who struggle to tolerate HRT? Im finding that estrogen, (gel and patches) gives me an extremely low mood and hot, itchy skin. Im still trying to take my progesterone and testosterone and use estrogel every other day but I can feel my menopause symptoms coming back since I've reduced my dose. I can't find any information about people that struggle with side effects...i just dont know what to do anymore. There must be other women like me but everything i read is about how amazing HRT is and that it's given them their life back. Ive been trying to stick with it for 5 months hoping the side effects would settle. Should i be reducing my progesterone and testosterone? Im sure others would benefit from a video on this too....'what to do when estrogen works but your body doesn't tolerate it well'. Thank you. Marie❤

Are you also take high quality supplements? How is your diet and stress levels? Did you try bio identical cream? Quite a few women struggle with the side effects of HRT. Can you get phyto estrogens from food as well?

No mention of vit k2 which ensures calcium intake doesn’t contribute to atherosclerosis but ends up in our bones. This is crucial information. I eat about a cup and a half of calcium rich dairy daily.yet I have severe osteopenia. Where is all this calcium going? Yep, probably calcifying my arteries. I listen to US doctors. They seem to research better. I’m still being asked to take calcichew by Irish doctors and nurses. I think this advice is dangerous.

I have scoliosis so am high risk. I have had to insist on having HRT from my NHS practice, they wanted me to go on strothium which I avoided as my surgeons advise against strothium, incase I need surgery in future attaching metalwork. I have osteopenia. I have been on estrogen and progesterone for 11 years. Should I be on testosterone? I thought testosterone could cause osteoporosis.

Testosterone helps your bones along with Progesterone. You need to really research. It's up to you to find out the best methods and treatments for your body.

A mother of a good friend of mine fell and broke her hip. She's in her 80's and does not want the surgery. The Doctor gave her 4 weeks...She's now been to a hospice for an intake where they said it could take a year.....She does not know what to do now.....

???Bisphonates are very effective at treating osteoporosis … yet it makes them more brittle & difficult to repair if they do break??? Doesn’t sounds like a great treatment
