52 yo woman here from Ontario Canada~ the notion of being selfish if looking after oneself first is REAL. This is the hardest thing to get past, as expectations for women to put others first has been long carried by society as the role of women, mothers, caregivers. My goal for this new year is to put myself first, and to begin to shed the guilt around this. Thank you both so much for this podcast and the real talk!

I have never done as much self-care as I have over the last year. Sooo worth it. I am looking forward to your Melbourne visit Dr Louise, I hope that someone will setup a public event with you as speaker.

Thank you Dr Louise and Liz, you are both angels. I’M waiting for the testosterone I started at the end of November to kick in. I know it takes longer than oestrogen. Meanwhile I have that dreaded CBA feeling. It’s not tiredness more a psychophysical feeling, if there is such a word. As for sleep, I am waking up around 5 or 6 hours after I fall asleep. I think that when the testosterone kicks in, I will sleep better, as per your information and the experiences of other women. I must admit, I do feel "on hold" while waiting for the testosterone to kick in. I have been on it almost 5 weeks.
