Headon did in fact know Baam and that he would return. SIU originally had the part where Baam enters the Tower differently and eventually changed that part for revealing too much information. Originally when Baam enters, Headon said "Welcome 25th Baam- the boy who was born the day the Tower cried." Headon knows EVERYTHING.

I think jahad locked anyone from Going beyond him is that there something above those floors that not even the ten great families and himself could defeat. I think even though jahad was foretold he would be king but also be killed. Jahad took steps to stop bam who basically the true god of the tower from being born. Kind of like a person to lead his people out the tower. Arlene body might have been taken outside the tower by enryu who was the messenger of the gods and also brought bam back since they said his shin suit could bring back life, the thorns was left by enryu because he knew bam would be in danger and Fug has been waiting for Bam the true god of the tower

Well if you read the wiki which has some information about SIU's old works(which I presume have now been deleted) there were numerous pictures of a tower and Axis' talking to each other. I read in one of the dialogs that there actually exists and entity called 'GOD' who gives the Axis their godlike powers. And in there was the mention of someone called Duke who proposed to the Axis that he will create a GOD since the current GOD isn't listening to them. Now the entire tower may very well be a training facility which is used to choose a candidate to become GOD and since Jahad having blocked the floors and thereby stopping the purpose of the tower is a hindrance , the outside GOD may very well be an Axis who is taking part in the plan or maybe Duke himself....this is all assumption since SIU can change the story line as he wishes

The book could have been Arlene's journal! Maybe Rachel stole it?? Maybe. She always wanted to be the "main character" so maybe she imagined herself in the journal in Bam's place. I think the book theory makes sense. (I still can't believe I'm even named Rachel like Rachel irl... ugh! Thank god the name Bruna is embedded in everyone's head here! Cause... omg!) In my mind there is two possibility : First one because she is ARLENE she used some kind of ancient magic/power probably with the help of one of the administraitor to go out. Or because even Gustang had never find how to go out, it's maybe only because it has to be someone outside the tower who take you outside the Tower, maybe the Enryu's King or an other Axe user. You have to be chosen to come in the Tower, you have to be chosen to get out of the Tower. Nice video !

I believe the outside god purposely let her out of the Tower. My reason for thinking so is that based on all the setup we have seen so far the god of the outside seems to be the being which is the master of the tower or something like that. As Headon says to everyone that whatever one desires can be found by climbing the tower.....it seems that the existence of the tower is solely for the people to climb it.....which is now obstructed by Jahad. Hence, it would make sense that the god is trying the free the deadlock of the tower by using baam or something otherwise it makes no logical sense for a god to help a crazy woman write a prophecy with her dead child.

What if Headon is connected to Gustang? It was implied that he's talking to him at the end of the workshop. Farfetch theories: 1. An irregular like enryu and phantaminum could have taken Arlene with them. 2. There was a book passed down through the outside of the tower to leave the tower. 3. The workshop may actually know and be hiding it. Maybe the founder of the workshop is someone else who does not know gustang. 4. If Rachel's family were taking care of Arlene, then she may have high status. Arlene may have been some sort of "royal". Why were only a few people sent in the tower. It may have come down to status. 5. Bam may have been baby-sitted by Rachel and she seems to be very manipulative. Your point about the book leads off of point#2. This book may have been passed down through Arlenes "royal" family or even Arlene. Headon may have not given his name to anyone. Note: these theories are probably really stupid but you never know. Edit: Irregulars are unpredictable. Maybe Headon could not tell that Jahad would be a symbol of terror for many. So out of "fear" he helps Arlene to take Jahad down. Headon may have been created by an axis.

My theory is that the tower is actually upside down, which is why the shinsu density increases with each level of the floor, and so if that is the case the only feasible way to leave the tower would be from the first floor. I also feel like not many people would think of that within the tower.

hey! I like your theory, but it's missing a part that just occurred to me... maybe the way to get out of the tower, which uses headon, is on the floor that jahad banned. that would make jahad the king of all and that no one could escape. clearly only jahad knows that and that's why he closed the floor and settled there, lying to the other heads of families to prevent people from having the option to leave and in his hunger for power, rule everyone forever... it is not logical for someone who always wants more power, stop conquering new territories, unless that entails the risk of giving people the option of escaping

Good stuff! I really like this theory. I honestly forgot about headon being mentioned on the outside in a book. I think IF Rachel never met Arlene, but only read the book, AND if time flows the same on the inside as it does on the outside, then from the time Arlene left to the time Rachel was alive would've been thousands of years, so Arlene's story could've been handed down by word of mouth and written accounts, so it then takes the rout of LOTR's "history became legend, and legend became myth." Another thing to think about is, if Rachel knew all about this tower beforehand, is it possible that many others around Rachel also tried to find the door, or to enter the tower, but were unable? Too much we don't know bro. And I know there's no proof, but my theory is that Arlene found out how to use or made the spell Astral projection. in almost the same way that the dnd 9th level spell is used. you leave your body and can travel to different planes. Basically, plane shifting to outside the tower. Now, Arlene made her promise and prophesy BEFORE she left. meaning she somehow communicated with the outside god or knew it made deals and was sure it'd make a deal with her to raise bam from the dead and get her revenge. Another thing is her pocket being left behind. If she left physically, shouldn't she have taken that with her? Why leave your diary behind? Unless it was her and Bam's souls that left. And what Enne found was not just Arlene's pocket, but the soulless bodies of baby Bam and Arlene. Then after reading her diary, Enne would see how Arlene was supposed to have escaped the tower, and bam was supposed to be the chosen one. But with both of their corpses were right in front of her and all hope of beating Jahad would seem pointless, the prophesy in her eyes, had failed. Lol. But my theory is mega reaching and the majority of it is head cannon, and compounded speculation. It's just my mental gymnastics at trying to make sense of this mystery.

Hi Joe ! I have a video suggestion for you. I read ToG twice now, but the chronology of the Tower as a whole still escapes me. How was the Tower before Jahad and his companions came (like the system of regular and ranker, the hierarchy), the war, Genesis, Enryu coming in the Tower... Basically all important event explained in order and how much time between them. I hope you make it one day ! (I'm gonna post this exact same message two or three times on your next videos so I'm sure you would have a good chance to read it once)

Theory: Because of so many Baam Jesus parallels, I think irregulars are like celestial beings, and the tower is the "mortal realm". I think "leaving the tower" is akin to leaving the Karmic cycle/mortal realm. I think Jahad is a Luciferian figure (hello, horns!) Think "I'd rather rule in hell than serve in heaven." The original irregular troupe are "fallen angels" and Jahad wants to plug up the afterlife/ "moving on" cycle in order to maintain power. Once he leaves the tower, he's not the most important or powerful. Baam is sent to right this wrong and get the whole cycle back on track.

She already knew about the tower, she is the one that brought bam inside the tower and she is the one that got bam to wanting to climb the tower. How can all this be a coincidence

one thing id like to point out is that during the rachel flashback during season one, I feel like it was insinuated that headon knew that baam was coming? like he says something about the doors not being for rachel or smth which happens before baam comes up I found it headon says "its not you. the person the tower chose...its not you." so I think he did know baam PLUS BONUS: while I was rereading that area to get the chapter, after rachel sees baam pass the test headon says this about baam "he was quite brave and special...running toward that monster like a hero out of a fairy tale" AND THIS SEEMS SO INTENTIONAL yes this is my rant :D

Especially the one time she was sad and she mentioned Arlene, that indicated a strong familiarity not to mention she said Arlene called Baam a monster. I think that Headon knows the way out of the tower and he showed her the way out so that she could offer Bam to the Outside God and give him some entertainment in the future, because Headon has been shown to enjoy the suffering of those he sees has beneath him, like he did with Rachel. But Headon definitely knows a way out of HIS tower because as the caretaker of the tower and an administrator he is likely the most powerful being in the tower. And in the tower, it's survival of the finest.

Somewhat off-topic, but in this video there is an idea I would like to challenge. That is the idea that Enryu cares about Arlene at all. The only reason anyone would think that is because of the line "as if unable to forgive the land being defiled like that, he appeared" but that's just Garam talking right? It's her Interpretation of that event, as a person who wasn't present and doesn't know Enryu. While impressive, what Enryu did doesn't seem to have had much impact on Jahad's rule. Enryu has done remarkably little to damage Jahad for someone supposedly anti-Jahad and capable of wiping the floor with administrators. So I think Enryu just carried out orders given to him by the outside god and has little personal stake in the matter.

I have this one idea that i've held with myself for quite some time: When Jahad killed Bam, V and Arlene knew that Jahad could potentially come to kill them too, so they wanted to escape but they didn't know how to leave the tower. Headon appears! (or they(or only V) go to Headon) and Headon offers V a contract (because he doesn't have a contract, unlike the other family heads). The contract dictates that V becomes Headon's puppet and gives his own life and free will away to Headon for exchange of letting Arlene escape Jahad and leave the tower. V sacrifices himself for Arlene, accepts the contract and he becomes Ghost, that's how Ghost is able to use shinsu black hole sphere, which only irregulars can use. Also, if i remember correctly Garam said something like "I couldn't tell him that part of the story after all" so maybe "that part of the story" is that V didn't just kill himself out of nowhere but instead sacrificed himself for Arlene. In my head this makes so much sense.

Heidan is the caretaker of the 'entire' tower, maybe he doesn't like what Jahad and the ten family heads have made of the tower, but since he is bound by the contract to accept Jahad as the king of the tower he can't go against him directly, that doesn't mean he can't help anti-jahad people right. Maybe heidan was one of the guardians who didn't want to accept the contracts proposed be jahad and the family heads but since majority of the guardians accepted, he had to give in. Bam and fug might be a way for him to restore the tower to its original glory and way before any irregulars entered it. 😱

Couldn't you argue that Phantaminum is able to enter and exit the tower at will and thus be able to do the same to someone. Why couldn't he have gotten involved earlier behind the scenes. His attack on Jahad's palace is just is first very noticeable action to the wider public of the tower.

Could Headon be the one who gave the immortality contracts to the family heads and the king's contract to Jahad? Those contracts never made sense to me until now. How would the administrator of a floor in the middle of the tower be able to grant such powerful contracts, particularly the king's contract? It seems like administrators might be getting stronger the higher up the tower you go so if you made a contract like that on floor 120, why couldn't an administrator from floor 121+ not negate it or give someone else the power to negate it? It wouldn't make sense that Jahad was unkillable on all floors of the tower in that case, just from the floor the contract was made down would make a lot more sense. But if it's Headon and he's secretly the true ruler of the tower, that makes a lot more sense.

Gustang is working with Headon too. Just before the virtual floor arc begins we get a panel of Gustang talking to someone (anonymous) on a pocket, and he says something like 'ive given your pawn a very useful item" referring to the treasure eating stingray. Literally who else would Rachel be a "pawn" to? After headon said he'd make her the heroine of this story

Late to the party here, but I am sorry if this sort of thing has been said, but my theory is that Arlene had knowledge to the outside god before entering the tower. The reason I think that is the rules of spells outlined in Season 2 chapter 242: 1. The caster must not violate the rules of the spell once they are set. 2. The caster must receive help from a powerful medium or divine being. 3. The rank of a spell is determined by the power of the being or medium who helped with the spell. She is mentioned as being a powerful spell user and spells receive help from mediums or divine beings. The outside god sounds like a good divine being for helping with spells, and a powerful one that would allow very high rank spells to be used. If she knew about the outside god before entering the tower, the outside god could have been the help with the spells, and possibly the one that helped with the escape. It could have been a spell she developed after lots of research. This, of course, is speculation as I do not think we have seen spell R&D taking place. I can see her not having a spell for leaving the tower when she entered the tower because the tower is a unique place with its own rules and having a spell to circumvent them without fully knowing them seems very challenging. I feel it is possible that she managed to develop such a spell after enough time and effort, figuring out the rules necessary for such a spell to work.

I'm pretty sure at some point I read Urek had said that he tried to get Gustang to tell him how to leave a because there were rummors he knew how to get out, maybe he is the one who helped her get out, my memory is a bit fuzzy on it but I think he had a crush on her or just got along very well so it's a possibility that he helped her.

I am late to the party but I do think Headon did know who was Baam but acted like he didn't. I believe this mainly because of two things: 1. When Rachel entered the tower, Headon said it's not you (He was waiting for someone but what he pulled into the tower was not the correct person) When Baam reaches he says "The Guest has arrived" not "A" - meaning the person who he was waiting on.. 2. I guess after what Baam tells Headon that he'd go up the tower for rachel is when he thought of the plan to let Rachel climb with Ghost as a motivation for Baam.

The real question is , where the fuck is Arlene , i refuse to believe she abandoned her son and shes dead or just ran away. I also think Headon could have helped Arlene in some way. Headon hates Jahad , Headon has an eye on Baam with Ghost. Headon is definitely related to FUG in someway. Headon knew about Baam will come up 1 day. The only thing Headon didnt see coming was Enryuu being the help and killed 1 of his brother admin. This is why Headon is following baam because he was given the thorns by Enryuu somehow and by keeping an eye on baam , Headon will find Enryuu 1 day somewhere in the tower or he will appear somewhere. I would expect the admins to be really on edge if Enryuu were to appear. A mass teleportation of admin would probably occur. As for Rachel where was she before meeting Baam? She was clearly not from the tower , she never saw the sky so i believe she never lived outside the tower. I feel like she was stuck in some house or something being a maid to someone like Arlene who was crazy or something. What if the Outside God is Lord Rosemadder, from SIU's early comic Tailse Uzer Story? My reasons to think this are: The Outside God is named as such by Arlene, who may aknowledged it as above the Administrator's level. Not only that but, the Outside God may be a Axis User just like Phantaminum (and maybe whoever controlls the Tower), meaning that the Thorn it gave to Enryu, so he can deliver it to Bam, may be a domain where it has control or even a way of expanding it's domain inside the Tower. That would even corroborate with the theory that Shinsu is a Axis' domain, meaning that the Thorn is just a way to penetrate this Axis' Domain and corrupt it from the inside-out, gaining power over the Tower of God's story. Oh and the final thoughts: Lord Rosemadder is a extremelly powerful Axis User in the story, his name has Rose, so he may be related to the color Red and even use Thorns to fight? Like, just as roses have Thorns to protect them, he may use Thorns to define his own Axis Domain???

Maybe arlene went beyond the „last“ floor which jahad closed because im sure it would take some time to create the 13 months to seal the door in which arlene maybe slipped by?? Regarding Rachel I dont think she personally knows arlene. From what I understood there‘s no shinsu outside the tower, the great warriors brought weapons never seen before into the tower (because no shinsu in the air outside the tower that restrict the use of swords for example) and rachel, despite very knowledgeable seemed unfamiliar with it. Now arlene along with the 10 great family heads was granted immortality so I suppose its possible to circumvent the lack of shinsu to stop aging but the floor administrators arent omnipotent either as seen when enryu killed one. Wouldnt it be logical that their power require shinsu too and not work outside the tower? (Unless its a very powerful „spell“ then everything I typed was for nothing). In my head arlene founded a village/city/country or was some sort of saint due to her abilities (spells) long ago and rachel read that book in some sort of temple to remember arlene. Let me know what you think if anybody made it to the end of this essay 🤷‍♂️

I'm actually thinkong about this; What if Arlen escaped at the BOTTOM of the tower? Rather than the top? Cuz think of it. Every regular, ranker, and irregular always go up the tower like they had no choice, but they didn't notice that going DOWN the tower was an option and an exit route. Of course there are some downsides to this theory such as those who oppose the theory itself, but it is a theory so don't get riled up. So what if the exit was down below, how would that connect to bam and rachel's first meeting? ALSO, how was rachel able to find Bam? I know, rachel read a book of something with the prophecy and stuff- BUT, if the book didn't mention Bam's whereabouts, THEN HOW THE FRIDGE DID SHE FIND HIM IN THAT CAVE. Might be also worth mentioning that Bam is from I think the BOTTOM BOTTOM (meaning, lower than the ground floor) of the tower. And in the latest chapter, Chapter 525, Vicente said Bam was "a master key." And what if Vicente meant more than those words? Bam could possibly be an ultimate key, and if he absorbs all of the 13 month series and the other stuff (I forgot the other thiungs that make the key for the 135th floor), Bam and the others might pass through to the 135th floor as the story said, but COULD be also a key to OPENING the exit of the tower (the bottom of the tower that I said earlier). Likew I just said, it's all just a Theory- atleast it's creative to think about it, right?

i agree that it was Headon that let Arlene leave the tower. he is actively working with FUG to destroy the Zahard empire. he's probably unhappy with how Zahard has changed, both himself and the tower, and wants to restore some kind of balance with Baam and FUG. anyways, when Rachel meets him, she says that Headon must be the fairy from the "legend." using that word implies a story that has been passed down for hundreds, if not thousands of years. and we do know that inside the tower, it has been thousands of years that Zahard and the 10 families have ruled the tower. and since most people in the tower don't even know of Arlene and V's existence, she likely left the tower with Baam's body thousands of years ago. Shinsoo can stop aging inside the tower, but outside I would think that's not the case. so i think we can safely assume that Arlene has been dead for a long time. so if she met the outside God (Headon maybe being the one who brought her to him?) and asked for Baam to be reborn to take revenge on Zahard, it must have come with some sort of time restriction or other conditions (like burying his body beneath the tower). Arlene probably wrote a book detailing her journey in the tower, including Headon being the "fairy" that guided them up, as well as what happened with Zahard and V and that her child would one day be reborn and take revenge on Zahard on her behalf. Rachel was probably a servant or someone of low-class on the outside but found the book and learned about the tower. she must've also found the place where Baam was buried. the way she came and went from the cave, it seems to imply that she had to sneak around to do it. she learned from the book that if you reached the top of the tower, you'd be able to see the stars and make your dreams come true basically. this aligns with her behavior in the tower, which has indicated she's unhappy with her appearance and her life and wishes to change. she may have even found the entrance to the tower, but was unable to open the door because she's unworthy; which is why she used Baam to open the door in the first chapter and was so upset when Headon said she still wasn't permitted to climb basically. the only thing that doesn't really line up with this is the panel where she says she doesn't care what Baam is to Arlene and that she thinks she's the "chosen one" or whatever from Arlene's legend. i don't see how she could think it would be her after finding where Baam was buried and obviously manipulating him to become attached to her so he would open the door for her. her thinking doesn't make sense unless she's just delusional, which seems too unlikely to me. it must have something to do with what Garam didn't tell Baam about Arlene, Zahard, and V. like that maybe Zahard is Baam's father and not V. i guess another possibility is Zahard was someone important on the outside and Rachel is his descendant, which would explain why there were Zahard's symbols outside the tower. but basically there has to be some additional connection between either Zahard or Arlene and Rachel for her thinking to make sense and i just can't quite figure it out yet. i'm guessing it won't be revealed until the very end of the story.

Theory= Jahad reached the highest floor which is an exit to the tower. He let Arlene leave before keeping it all the way locked. He doesn't let any one go to the "higher floors" as a deal with the administrators. Jahad becomes an immortal king to always protect the exit for the administrators. If people left the tower it would drain the administrators life which would eventually kill them. People would leave the tower because they would be so strong, confident, and pretty much immortal outside. More people would climb harder and die. As the administrators become weaker it would be easier to climb. The tower revolts, leaves, or die and so do the administrators???

The absolute only flaw I see with this is that it suggests that Headon could be the god who sent Enryu instead of Pentaminum. But whoever did clearly wanted to kill the administrator but as the caretaker of the tower I think he would not like that. This is still assuming that Headon is in fact the god referred to that Enryu serves. Nothing is concrete but hard to argue with. I still hope to see more of Headon though. I really like his staff.

Rachel was not tasked to take care of bam. She found him by accident because he was trying to break out of where ever he was. She could leave that place and go to where she's originally from but bam couldn't. She used the words chosen live up there when telling bam he couldn't go up to the light with her. My theory is bam existed outside the tower and Rachel found the hole he dug and from there she ended up entering the tower so sort of from outside the tower. But Rachel wasn't from outside the tower herself otherwise she wouldn't need to reach the top to see the real stars. I believe bam was barley outside the tower by being underneath it in some huge vast outside cavern where the tower was built. Rachel was probably in some remote part of the outer tower probably where Arlene was last and managed to send bam outside. Nothing says Arlene actually left. It is only said she found a way outside and gave her dead son to the god on the outside. Arlene herself probably never left

I don’t think Rachel is from outside the tower. It doesn’t make sense for her to be. She knows too much about the tower and had met a Jahad prince somehow that wasn’t Wagnan or Karaka. I think Rachel is from the OUTER tower. And I think that Bam’s cave might be some sort of strange area space that “technically” sits outside the tower despite not actually being “outside” in the sense that we can see sky and starts. That would explain both why Rachel always entered the cave and why Bam wasn’t allowed to leave. Bam needed to be outside the tower to become an irregular. So wherever Rachel went through was basically a portal or something to some sort of subspace that exists outside the tower on a technical sense but not entirely a physical sense. She continually entered the cave to try to open the door. Or to go through with Bam like she did. In this case she might have been a servant tasked with watching over Bam for Arlene. Remember that in the outer tower there are places so far away that they aren’t aware or influenced by Jahad and don’t know of the existence of the inner and middle towers. Rachel and her family could have been one of these people that Arlene met on her journey to find a way out. It’s possible that even “was” the way out. Maybe she killed herself in the cave even.

I think Phantaminum created Rachel to give Baam a motivation to climb the Tower and fulfill his destiny to kill Zahard after he learned that Zahard found a way to change his predestined fate. This axises are making all so complicated. We don't know if they are allies or they hate each other, phantaminum seems more a murderous god that likes to "play" with his power than a strategist that plan to change fate and help someone. He pratically killed so many rankers and high rankers and terrorize some of them using a weapon that none of the residents of the tower ever seen and i think even powers ever seen in the tower (this could mean that phantaminum power is not related to shinsu maybe because it isn't his own domain?), yuri describes him as a "dirty one". The outside god ehm we don't know nothing (it's possible that he could be oedipus or how it is written that axis) he could possibly be the "real" axis of tog. He resureccted bam and he probably gave some of his power to bam and enryu we know that enryu have a really powerful shinsu control that even surpass those of a guardian (and it is said that guardians are shinsu itself) and killed one. He can CREATE life trough shinsu something that no one ever did (macseth create life yes but not trough shinsu) something godlike. Maybe that is why bam can control the thorn (i don't think every irregular can control it) because they have some kind of connection with the power they recieved from the outside god?

We don't know if Arlene left the Tower. Only that she sent Baam's body outside probably along with Rachel. I believe that Arlene is still inside and is one of FUG's elders
