I agree he was enough of an Avatar to have a domain, and it definitely was explored little enough that I didn't realize the implications. Kind of just launched into Season 5 without any idea that he'd gone full Avatar too, and he didn't use the Lonely powers much in the final season. (I always assumed his using of the Lonely to dodge his coworkers was similar to how Jon got into the eye powers a little by accident before taking the full plunge post S3, he still has some humanity. It's got a lot of possibilities to have gone either way)@@bogslut

@@DaniDumZ I think what makes it so much better is several shots indicate that Jon had been sent there for the express purpose of finding out more about Martin, to investigate the mysterious siren who'd been disappearing people. Mans was probably informed "hey jsyk, that Blackwood figure is a charmer. He might try and seduce you if he realizes you're trying to take him down" to which Jon would probably have been like "yes, I know how sirens work. Quite frankly, I'm insulted that you think of me as so weak-willed that I wouldn't be able to keep my head on straight." Well, it TURNS OUT-

i love the way Martin grabs onto Jon almost as if hes feeding on Jon the most in that moment it almost seems like he longs for companionship when hes dancing with Jon or maybe hes sensing Jons longing in the moment, also the part where hes just touching the face of one of the audience as the audience member cries gave me chills, i also love the end where its just him and Jon after everyone else gets sent to the lonely i cant tell if hes just giving Jon mercy form the lonely or if he just wants to feed on him more. over all this is an amazing video as usual and i love your work, thank you for making such masterpieces 💖💖💖

Absolute. Masterpiece. I DIDNT REALIZE HOW MUCH I NEEDED SINGER MARTIN IN MY LIFE!!! Ngl though I was kinda hoping Jon would join in as a duet and that would be how he pulled both of them out of the lonely. Kinda showing the duelity of music and how it can either remind us of a really dark place or remind us that others have been through what we're going through and that we're not alone. This probably makes more sense for Jon's character though, since it seems that no matter what universe hes in, hes always more vulnerable to the Lonely. Anyway, beautiful art as always! Im so glad the TMA community is still going strong!

My headcannon is that from time to time, the Avatars just have a get together and just exchange stories and have a good time drinking and eating, even those of The Lonely come by for a couple of minutes. I'd like for this video to be one of those nights where its supposed to be The Lonely singing on the stage but wouldn't you know it, Peter just bleeped out of existence and Martin's gonna have to take his place.
