Some tips and clarifications! Sans: keep track of your power - if it's depleted, you're pretty much dead unless you can recover before Frisk reaches you Frisk: if you look at the cooldowns below your health, the save ability takes some time before it can actually revive you - if you can be revived, it will be colored. You can also turn into Chara by using bad time if you have the power (i think, maybe it's about revivals instead, not actually sure) Papyrus: the bad time key will now be a taunt, which makes his cooldowns go faster. You can also charge up blue bones to place a spaghetti trap, which slows Frisk down if they step on it or increases your own speed if you do Difficulty: when you set the difficulty to easy in the settings, it halves all of the EXP rewards you get. It's okay if you're trying to unlock something, but should be avoided when you're playing for EXP Also, there's a custom character creator now, you can try it out by either clicking "Create" in the menu or going to "My Characters" in the shop. It does cost G though, so you should have a consistent way of gaining that before you go for it

Okay, some tips to get back into this game: first, there's a custom character creator now (it's the button named "Create")! _It costs quite a lot of money to buy every skill, but you could always use a little cheat called UNLOCKALL..._ or edit your save. It allows for some very impressive things, such as making characters with phases. Easy Mode halves your cooldowns, which does make a lot of characters very busted. However, it also halves the EXP you gain (hence why you were getting so little). It's better if you want to have fun, but most of the challenge lies in Normal difficulty, which is the one the game was designed for. *Sans:* - Chara's slashes break your bones, but blue bones are unbreakable. This applies to every character: the only attacks that aren't broken by slashes are colored ones, beams, or slashes. They can be dodged with any character's Space, though. - All variations of force will lose strength if you're low on power. - Shift + C (Blue Soul) will push Frisk until they reach a wall, after which they have their gravity adjusted to that wall. You can use it in one side to push them towards the other side as long as you're over +20% or so power, which'll let you get back from exhaustion easily. *Frisk:* - Saving has a small startup time (until the star despawns). You'll know if you can revive because the music keeps playing, and you can do so inmediately by pressing the button. - Frisk gains power when dealing and/or taking damage. Saving will store every single value excluding your own power (this means you can indeed recover your items or heal if you safe beforehand!). - When Frisk reaches max power, they get a boost after reviving with their save file. I suggest stalling until you reach Chara's second form, which makes your dash leaves damaging knives and allows your knife to throw out slashes when charged. *Papyrus:* - You can place down Spaghetti (I believe it's by holding Space?) which will SEVERELY slow down Frisk if they touch it and give you a speed boost that can be stacked. He's definitely one of the trickier characters, so I suggest playing around with Training. - Also, hold Shift to gain a speed boost! *Undyne:* - You can hold X to make spear rises, as you've seen. Frisk won't know where they are until it's too late, and they'll rain down bullet hell if they hit, so try to lead them into the spears to amass a lot of power. - Green Soul does work against Chara, but they can break out of it (and any other movement restriction), so be careful. It'll still stall for time, however. - You revive as long as you have _some_ power on death. If you have full power, you'll upgrade into Undying, who does a whooping *8* damage per hit. However, as you've seen, this is very tricky; as you need to consistently hit Frisk while they're not green and missing attacks will reduce your power. Green Soul won't completely remove your power, but its timer is like a secondary bar that doesn't add to your actual one. - Undying doesn't have infinite HP, but she does have a pretty large pool. Do be aware that Level 2/3 Chara's slashes deal 9999 DMG, so you're NOT living one. - Undyne also has a dash with inmunity in Space that also deals damage. Hold it for bigger distance! Also, it *can* dodge Chara's slashes! The game is challenging, but it's definitely beatable! It just takes practice, but I suggest trying to master characters.

Happy to see you playing this again Merg! Bonetale is my favourite Undertale fangame and also my first Undertale game at all. I remember finding it on the play store. Years later, I have the mobile version on my chrome book, as Linux mode and by extension, exe files aren’t usable and I still love playing it. Keep up the good work buddy!

Heya Merg. I mainly use Frisk and figured out a lot of ways to just obliterate the enemy, and you having trouble actually hurt me slightly. Frisk the only melee character, but they still require strategy. I recommend saving at the start, then attacking Chara once, rolling away, and waiting to move away again. This _should_ stall save's cooldown (also, you can skip a faux-death cutscene as Frisk by pressing X while in the animation. Saving does about what it says, saving everything about the game, *INCLUDING YOUR POSITION AND THE ENEMY'S COOLDOWN,* which screws over a lot of runs Also, there are a lot of things you missed. When Frisk becomes Chara, their damage output increases, and they can do two more attacks regarding the slash (fill the bottom bar up, and a slash'll be released, which points at the enemy) and the dodge (filling the bar up here will make Chara hit the enemy when they dodge them, as a counter). You can also level up to the demonic Chara, and the other two forms have more powers aswell. Also-Also, after becoming Chara, if you run out of items, the item button becomes a panic button, which just increases your speed; you can hold the save button to reload; you move faster (slightly); and you do mild knockback. You can test some things out in Events > Tutorials > Training. Good luck!

I remember when Merg first made a video on this game. I thought it was so cool and immediately downloaded it. I ended up playing it so much and getting all the skins. A good strategy when using sans in the new update is "blue bone stall" basically the bone spam but with blue bones and charging them up if that makes sense

Ye in demonic and hard mode what I do is bad time then tp to the nearest end of the corridor then use the long blue bones which move around for much longer and whenever blue bones are about to end I reapeat and use blue soul (if necessary) and I occasionally fire blasters and use bones

For sans, you should stand still to recover power. Do not move around as it'll consume your power also. Also your push strength varies on your power. If you have low power, you'll barely push Frisk far from you compared to having full power. For frisk's save, there is a delay after using your save before you can actually respawn. For Papyrus, he may suck and i agree but it's probably because no one knows how to master his moveset unlike sans Also Also ALSO, you're not reading the character's manual, choose the character you want to play in "Shop" then click "Controls" in the Main Menu

I’m not all the way through the video so this might be redundant, but an easy way to unlock flowey is using the push with sans whenever frisk gets close, and using gaster blasters to deal damage. (You might have to use the bigger bad time mode blasters for this)

Merg, try to hold all the keys before using them, some of them do different things when charged a little and fully charged. Ex: Frisk roll fully charged turns into a dash that damages and is longer than rolling.

Merggg look at the controls in the main menu. They explain the characters ability! For example, save only saves after a bit, and you can bad time by filling up your entire power bar. When you revive you revive with all of your power, however if you had full power something REALLY fun happens. You should definitely try it next video.

Easy trick to win almost any difficulty: Stand in the right side, wait for Frisk to approach, then using gravity + Blaster combo. With this strategy, yoy can beat most of the difficulties just by standing still.
