Snowboarding behind a horse, yup, thats Canadian eh? It's like Skijoring except with a snowboard and a horse.

Thinking of all those poor deprived city kids which get their entertainment from video games (or youtube videos).

You mentioned on another video that you dont want to be monetized. I gladly sit through commercials to watch content I actually enjoy. Half the time my 5 year old makes me watch the commercials and the way I see it, you guys deserve some money to continue entertaining us! Please monetize your channel and make money from what you are already doing. When I have the time, I just let the commercials play so that it contributes to the efforts out into the channel.

Hey Chelsey, we have started to monetize a few of our newer videos. We don't love commercials, but it seems to be the only way....thanks for your support.

That looked like a lot of fun and good healthy exercise for all involved. Nothing better then to fall flat on your face a few times. Anyone who says country life is boring is gifted with an excessive amount of lacking imagination. Make sure the boys have proper supervision when around the girls. Or are those Dave’s boys?

Dad made a toboggan for a our horse when we were younger and then we would have a blast. but the Pennsylvania winters are often too mild to do a whole lot. That looks like a ton of fun I just went snowboarding first time this year but the resorts closed early due to coronavirus. Great music in this video btw I just discovered your channel and am loving it. Subscribed

looks like a blast was had by all...my cousins used to do this on skis on their ranch(Big Lake b.c..) enroute to Likely b.c. I was so envious as a kid, 'cause I grew up in the lower mainland/greater vancouver area....my cousins all wanted to move to city when they were young...me I became a country girl when I grew up :) Gorgeous area, gorgeous lifestyle(we homesteaded in northern b.c. off grid/remote with our kids when they were small/young. It's a great way to live!

Bonjour Rose et Jeff! Quel beau moment en famille!!! I've been very inspired by your videos and I would like to ask you some questions because I am considering to go off grid with my wife and childrens, so I've tried to send you a private youtube message but it seems like your channel don't offer this option... How can I write to you guyz ? Thanks and may the Lord bless you and your daughters abundantly, in Jesus name!

That's some nice lookin', sturdy horses. You guys are just good at and know what you're doin' with everything you do! Y'all must've grown up on a ranch besides going gridless as adults. I am envious. I can't tell ya what a pleasure it is to watch your videos... :) Really good job punchin' your man-cards too and telling the ladies what's what. I can tell that they greatly appreciated the guidance... :)
@Gridlessness6 жыл бұрын
Both of us were born and raised in the city and have learned what we know now, since living off grid. We've had good instructors! Thanks for the kind comment!
@3Sphere6 жыл бұрын
That's amazing! You must've had GREAT instructors because you sure seem to come to it all natural-like. You swim like fishes in water... :) For sure those girls are going to be a bunch of Annie Oakley's. (careful, boys :) If you were to all dress in period clothing and remove the modern technology, you all could easily walk right out of the 1830s. I'm a fan of mountain man and pioneer history. Those people were sturdy and capable and they knew amazing things that most moderns have totally forgotten. I was the caretaker for a few years of a cattle ranch and we've had it with the city or even the semi-city. The city simply isn't worth livin' in anymore. I'm in the process of getting my place ready to sell in the spring and we're going to buy acreage in the deepest, darkest Midwest US for a homestead. I'm having a lot of fun reading everything I can get my hands on about homesteading technology, both old and new. There is a LOT of material out there and a LOT of exciting new technology that's been married to the old ways. It's an exciting time for an anti-social survivalist to be alive! Also watching lots of KZbins for information, enlightenment and entertainment. There's a lot of good stuff and also some pretty bad stuff and everything in between. It's a fun game to search through the wilderness of KZbin for the nice, big trees and hidden gold mines. But for sheer joy, there's no channel that tops you guys! I was also thinking of keeping the electrical and water umbilical on the new homestead. But y'all inspire me to go totally off grid! I'm also going to start a channel for my homestead right from the beginning when I buy it with all the successes and (head hung low) failures too. :) Because we can't succeed many times unless we first fail and then persevere. I also blog a log because I have the gift of fingertip gab. So don't encourage me too much unless your want reams of verbiage... :) When KZbin removed the limits to the length of posts I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Others, maybe not so much... :) Cheers!

Its so much fun! We're actually getting the horses suited up to do it again this year!
@jimf19646 жыл бұрын
Gridlessness it'd be too late if it was in Montreal. We actually had a larger than average precipitation this year, with some very cold temps, but we got a pretty big rain which took out most of the snow, then another couple big snow storms, then freezing rain which ruined it, and now again above average temps and rain are causing another big melt. I think it's already the end for snow sports here. Enjoy your skiing though. Do a jump for me. ))

I am new to this channel-- and I have no idea how he could have possibly afforded to leave the cities-- buy land, build a house-- AND support such a large family.. Where does the money come from?
@kriskelly53737 жыл бұрын
Furness Prime he's living off the land which provides most food(hunting gsthering and gardening) as for the land and house, land isn't really expensive in the bush compared to a tiny lot in the city,bush is full of the majority of building supply's.
