I was driving my dad home one night after drinking together. I played this song. We pulled up to the driveway and he wanted to go around the block and keep listening. He was 42 when this song came out. He died soon afterward. This song is a time stamp of better times with my father. RIP dad. You were a cowboy for sure...This was in 1987...after sharing this post with my son, Nick and remembering my father and seeing him through my son Nick, took his life Christmas eve 2021. He was also a cowboy. I will always remember them as I saw them as they died. A cowboy never goes easy. Much love friends. Hold your loved ones closer and harder and a bit longer.

Richie Sambora is one of my favorite guitar heroes. Epic solo - he's such an innovator with riffs and melody, amazing vocalist. Lots of historic guitarist from this era, but for this song, there was really only one choice.
