@@wexplo15 looks like no one answered your question, so I figured I'd chime in! Bonnie Tyler doesn't play the mom in the film, she just performs this song that was written for the film. The film, Deadly Games/Dial Code Santa Claus (and a number of other names!) Is about a young boy who finds himself home alone on Christmas night fighting against a deranged home invader dressed in a Santa costume -- the kid is obsessed with action movies like Rambo so he dresses up like him!

@@wexplo15 It's a French film from 1989 called '3615 code pere noel' or aka 'deadly games'. Its an extremely 80s film about an really smart, action movie loving kid who lives with his mum and grandpa in a mansion. While his mum is out working on Xmas eve night a bad guy dressed as santa clause breaks into the house to cause terror and boy has to fend him off with booby traps and such. People say it must of inspired Home Alone because of the similarities. It's definitely a different feel tho and is more adult tone. It's very 80s in style with montages and cheesy moments. This song must of been made for this movie and is featured in it, I notice the music video is directed by the director of the movie also. It's worth checking out if you like 80s cheese.

Last night I watched the French horror film DIAL CODE SANTA CLAUS for the first time. The whole time I'm thinking "this movie is pretty weird." Then it gets to a halfway point and this song just starts playing out of nowhere. I think "Who is that? Kim Carnes?" Then I am struck by how weird the lyrics are. Like "English as a second language" weird. I figure "this is some French singer who sounds like Kim Carnes singing some word salad about Christmas and Jesus." I get to the end credits and learn that the singer is, in fact, Bonnie Tyler. Anyway, I am really struck at famous hitmaker Bonnie Tyler singing this song that sounds like it was written by a Bot programed to write Xmas lyrics. I play the song again just to revel in how nonsensical it is. I go to look up the song to see what others are saying about it and there's not a single comment about how strange it is. Every comment is like "I love this song" and "this is my favorite Christmas song." Anyway, look at these lyrics and tell me this thing wasn't written by a Bot: Merry Merry Christmas Don't change kids, stay with us Stay a little Jesus Hold onto my hand It's not a long way...
