I was in the same position a year ago. Still having to finish a semester of school and having a baby out of wedlock, but God got me through it. It’s not easy, but it’s worth it and most people/ family members come around.

And I'm so happy everything worked out so well for you. 💕💕💕 I'm 17 weeks pregnant, 30 and not married. Recently resigned from my job coz it was so toxic and stressful. For me the judgy people in my life are my parents. It hurts so much, my mom stays making snide comments, and not once has she asked bout my pregnancy or check ups and my dad barely talks to me. I'm glad you touched on how much of a blessing babies are, regardless of whether they're made in or out of wedlock. I'm so grateful for the support I'm receiving from my brothers and partner. I don't know how I'd have navigated through this up to now if I was alone. Truly grateful I stumbled upon this. I know my baby is a blessing and I've never thought of it as anything else. Your parents might just come around and kick themselves for having missed your journey and if they don’t it’s their loss for missing their grandchild’s life even if it’s just a short while, it’s time they’ll never get back and that’s on them. What matters is happy, healthy mom and baby. Be kind to yourself because everyone else isn’t carrying life, a soul from God. Choose yourself. Parents sometimes can be uncalled for. It happens. What u said really touched me,of how u never felt regret about ur pregnancy,it funny because tha was how I felt when I was pregnant & a Christian. NEVER ever even once did I regret or felt bad about carrying the little blessing in my womb &cabanga got pregnant when I was 31 &felt so bad about what pple were going to say,they judgment as much as I saw my pregnancy as my blessing. I was 16 and pregnant, gave birth 2 weeks after turning 17. I'm now 25 my daughter is 8yrs old, yes it was crazy and I went through it over the years from being judged by my family especially and people in general. But I got over it , I love my child and even though I had no clue or manual of motherhood, I did this sh*t like a boss and I'm still not good at it but that's the beauty of it. You loving your baby and not caring is winning.

People are just in other people’s business- I always say ‘Tswang mo di popelong tsa basadi’ 2. It’s important to have family support! To me my parents support surpasses everything. 3. Baby fathers are important Bathong. To the baby and to you as the mom and YES you are a family. I just had 2 positive tests and will go tomorrow to get an official test and ultrasound… I’m 27 so I’ve been longing for motherhood for so long, and I’m so happy to know that God blessed me with a child… however I’m full of shame that it didn’t happen the “correct way”. My mom is over thrilled to finally be a grandmother, however I dread telling my dad. He’s the one who brought me up as a Christian. His judgement is who I fear only. And also just that I wasn’t wedded. I know God approves every thing that happens, and he called for me to bring in a child. But I don’t feel like I can ask for mercy enough..

I’m in the same situation you are in. I’m a Christian, have a really close relationship with God and I’m very loud about my faith. I won’t lie, When I found out I was pregnant, I was so happy. Simply because, I had gone through so much with my womb and reproductive system in my 29years of living (having painful ovarian cysts on both ovaries etc..), I even was so sure that I would not be able to conceive so when I found out, I knew my child “uBopilwe ke Modimo” (created by God). The judgement from others especially christian only came after but I never entertained it coz I couldn’t let others have power over my blessing. As weird as this will sound, I am fortunate enough because, both my parents are deceased so with regards to the whole “ukuhlawula” process, it has was decided that the paying of damages will be voided especially also because I don’t have any close biological family present in my life. Our lives won’t ever go the same way, our love stories are all going to be different. If our stories were all the same it would defeat “purpose”. Our different stories are meant to touch different people. This was such a beautiful video Bonolo. I loved everything about it, your transparency, genuineness and honestly. Thank you for allowing us into your life💕.

God has a personal relationship with each of us and it will never be Christian enough or whatever else we forced ourselves to believe.
