Thank you Bonsai J, I hope you don't mind the aircraft noise in the earlier videos, I live about half an hour from Heathrow Airport and planes pass by very frequently. I have learning all the time and the videos are slowly getting better. When I got this house its was in a state and the garden was a jungle, we couldn't see the boundaries. Worked hard on it to look like it is in the videos.

Your hard work definately paid off, what a great job.The planes aren't that bad for noise in your videos. I like your videos the way they are, nice and quiet, informative and your cat is a great addition! Im not really into some of the " new age " videos... too loud, back and forth editing and just over produced. Although I will watch them if about bonsai, but not my style of video. I guess making videos are like bonsai, everyone likes different styles.

it seems very tall for such a narrow trunk. do you plan to try grow some low branches?
@mikbonsai
@mikbonsai 11 жыл бұрын
I intend to prune it hard and hope for some back budding, if that doesn't work then let a sacrificial branch grow from one of the branches and use it to thread graft. I have to admit that I haven't done this before and if I did do it on this tree, it will be a first.

Great ! Can you turn on your featured channels, you do this the same way as the related channels. The difference is that you chose which channel you want to show in there. It would be an honour to be included under featured channels by you. It is very late after 2.00 in the night and I must go to bed as working in the morning, Best wishes Iqbal Khan West London UK

Hello, can you grow this tree indoors in winter? (like in a living room) (dormancy?) Would an ordinary pomegranate work or it must be the dwarf one? Thank you
@mikbonsai
@mikbonsai 7 жыл бұрын
Hi, An ordinary pomegranate would work, but you have to bear in mind that the fruit will be BIG ! so if you remove all fruit except one or two would be OK. You could bring these trees indoors but not the living room, conservatory or on the window sil of a south facing window during winter months would work.

Hello Mik Where do you keep the pomegranate during winter? How about the temperatures they can take? greets Kennet
@mikbonsai

+Kennet De Bondt Hello Kennet, This tree is fully hardy and is kept outdoors all year round. There are other varieties I have which do not tolerate our cold weather in the UK and are kept indoors from October through to some time in April when it starts to get warm again. I have not tested their resilience to low temperatures as I did not want to lose any branches or trees. So unable to be precise on temperatures they can withstand. Best wishes, Iqbal

Hi Pierre, I have checked and follow up videos on this trees were not done. Further work on this tree has been done including a repot and change of pot. I have added this to my list of updates that I must do. Please bear with me, as I have so many trees that further video updates were overlooked. Thank you for bringing it to my attention and I will rectify this in the next four to six weeks. Once again thank you for your support and your forbearance for the update video on this tree. Best wishes Iqbal

Since you labeled this video "How to" it would be nice to know what your doing; while your doing it; and explaining why your doing it. Moving the camera so your hands aren't in the way would be good too. How to Bonsai really didn't show or tell me how?

Kelly Munro-Belden Thank you for watching and your feed back. This was one of the first videos I made and published with others that followed were also filmed from the same camera angle. Following feed back at the time I did change the camera angle in later videos.
