North Wilkesboro belongs in NASCAR. After watching the modified race there a few weeks ago, you can tell the place isn't far off from hosting some sort of NASCASR racing. I would not be surprised to see trucks on the schedule there for next fall. A throwback truck playoff race at Wilkesboro under the lights would be sweet! Throwback to the truck schemes of the mid 90's

I miss the good old days of racing at tracks like North Wilkesboro and The Rock. I wish NASCAR could somehow add both back to the schedule for one race a year or at least Rockingham, which is closer to being in race shape that Wilkesboro. 👍✌️

What Jr is doing for this sport is so large it can't be quantified. We will likely never be able to measure his contribution. But he will likely go down as one of the Top 5 most important people to ever be involved with the sport.
@JCrowe862 жыл бұрын
Love that they made this happen and that Jr. is now involved with iracing. Since on the oval side of things we have pretty much all the top series tracks, I hope there is a renewed push to get a lot of the famous short tracks added in. There are plenty still out there that really hold a significance in the beginnings of the sport and it's top drivers throughout history.

He's been involved in sim racing for over 20 years .... I raced against him once in 2005 in Papyrus NASCAR Racing 2003 at an invitational race for Blackhole Motorsports. Ryan Newman also took part and we raced at Talladega. Junior and Ryan started in the back and it didn't even take them 5 laps to pass the entire field and then by around lap 20 they put the entire field a lap down. I was happy with finishing 4th out of the field of 23. I also set my personal best lap time with Dale pushing me for a few laps. I remember him thanking me after the race when really I should have been thanking him for an experience I'll never forget

I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you would make a video, about living in your dad's shadow all the time? I don't mean this in a negative way or anything, your pops was my favorite driver in Nascar ever since I was able to watch it and understand it .... especially when I seen where he came from and how hard he had to work to get there....also how he wanted to race and I believe your grandfather wanted him to finish school and then he would help him chase his dreams. And when you came along you both were my favorites and when you stopped racing i stopped watching on a regular basis.. but watching growing up it seemed like you really wanted him to see you and watching the look on your face it seemed like you felt left out of alot and wanted to be closer to him.... if I'm wrong I apologize! But the video I was wanting to see and hear you talk about..... it seemed to me that everytime you won in the interview process all you were asked about was about your dad... 1 example was the race at Daytona you won after his passing was almost like they didn't want you to celebrate your win because all they wanted to talk about was him and his death and all you wanted to do is celebrate your win and your accomplishments, and I just felt like no matter what you did and achieved the interview was about him and it should have been about you and kinda pissed me off to be honest...... I know what I'm trying to say it's just difficult to type it out I guess lol but you get the idea lol..... I live in the town where you hunt in ohio and it would be a dream to meet you 1 day i would rather have sent you a PM of this but dont have a idea on how, but im sure people will have negative to say about this but I feel its true.... if you make a videoon this ill see it and think it wouldbe a greatone to see how you felt then aboutit all thanks!.... stay great JR! Awesome videos!

I’ve been a NASCAR fan for 40+ years. Sorry, but I just can’t get into Sim racing. I envision “Jr’s Vintage Class” exhibition race aka Tony’s SRX series. Historic venues, historic cars, All Star NASCAR drivers only, limited seats. A great alternative to what NASCAR’s become today. 100% sell outs & lots of pay per view watchers. Tell me it’ll happen. Can’t wait!
@JRsBullet2 жыл бұрын
Look at all the excitement and support for this. You would hope the suits at nascar would see that this is where the sport should be instead of the direction it has been. Other than it’s safety innovations, the competition rules and overall system has been in a downfall since before the whole “chase/playoffs” garbage. Respect between drivers and teams is gone by way of “win and you’re in”. They reward dirty driving instead of consistency. The punish a team that has it figured out on race day and is whopping the field by instituting “segments” basically giving teams behind a handicap so they can keep up. There is the money aspect where winning is not enough as nascar limits sponsorship and needs to give a bigger piece of the revenue to the teams so they can go get the best drivers rather than the rich silver-spoon kid that brings money. For me, a local Saturday night race track super stock and modified race is more exciting and entertaining than most of what nascar offers. 🤷🏽♂️🍻
