Agreed. Sadly they're super expensive, I paid like $90 for this one and the only other one available right now is more than double that untested

Clearly this drive is trying to cosplay as a full-height MFM drive with those seek times. Site note, given how the drive seems to work a lot better at roughly the 2nd half of the drive, I'm wondering if it's media failure on the outer tracks of the drive causing the extra-slow seek times there?

@@Teraforce88 No, the seek times are fine, what's happening is the drive is recalibrating between every couple seeks for some reason. There seems to be some electronic problem here, rather than mechanical, as sometimes it reports bizarre geometry or the name is spelled wrong.
