Dude, I'd tried this shuffle about fifty billion times with everyone out there, Porcaro included. By following your lesson I had it dialled in a little over three hours. Thank you, and respect. xx

You were teaching me this in your garage 20 years ago and I remember it absolutely driving me insane! I just could not ghost note into that pattern. Three years later, I downloaded the sheet music for it and watched the Jeff Porcaro video and studied this damned thing for a year before I finally got to where I could play it to where it actually sounded musical. Now, I incorporate it into a lot of our music and don't even think about it! But it all started with you 20 years ago! Ha! Ha! Ha!

With so many drummers on KZbin playing demo lessons on how to play Rosanna now. This is still the best video out there. I learned how to play Rosanna from this six step tutorial over a year ago. I still come back to this video on occasion just to refresh my memory. It’s been a while since we’ve spoken Terry. I wrote on another one of your videos how much I love my Paiste Form602 Soundedge hats. Still my favorite hats!

I never thought I could ever learn how to do it, the other tutorials all step from only the shuffle with ghost notes and snare to the whole thing, but yours makes me finally realise how the bass comes into the whole thing! I’m not quite on tempo, but thanks to you I’m closer than ever! Thank you so much!

I spent so long fixated on getting my left hand dynamics on the Ghost notes perfect, I couldn't get snare on beat three to carry into the ghost note of the 3rd "and" - ghost. But your breakdown and explanation of how to handle the dynamics of the "and" notes made it all fall into place with the bass drum pattern!
