I think what you guys are realizing quickly that many of us Tyler Perry fans love is that TP has two different types of movies. He has the serious dramas like why did I get married and diary of a mad Black woman in which Madea made or may not be in those movies. And then he has the Madea series, like this movie which is all jokes all the time. Anything that starts with Madea in the movie title, centers around her life. All the other titles may or may not have her in the movie but are more of the dramatic films that you saw in the very beginning.

Mideas Witness Protection was my favorite because it was sort of an in between era for the filmw where it was a fun balance of comedy and plot, instead of a lot of serious or overwhelming jokes. Not that the later movies arent fun, but i feel like witness protection is just that sweet spot for me personally as a movie to cheer myself up on a hard day without overloading the senses.

I love these movies, I think they had bad ratings because people were getting burned out from Madea around this time. we had so many back to back films, but as someone who grew up with scooby doo, sitcoms and other late 90s early 2000s TV shows I love how much these movies pull from them for little comedic touches. Like Madea trying to light the cigarette while shaking and cant get the lighter to stay on, its a very sitcom-comedy touch that isnt seen in modern series.

There is nothing Funny or partly funny in any of them. Except Precious. and that one the humor is subjective . P.s. Boo is my favorite Tyler Perry Movie. I was the loudest one in the theater. its hilarious 😂😂😂 Also none if these movies are connected. He recycles himself, medea, and uncle joe. but noneof the stories are related. He kinda uses different variations of Tiffiany, at different ages, The brother also. The character Bam and the other old lady are usually only in the Funny movies and plays.
