people addicted to their smartphones and unable or unwilling to be present in the moment, to even be with what is happening there, around them.... and/or people who are at an airport, or a mall... yeah I don't get it, man. just don't. be here now. dance now. life's too short for these accursed smart phones that take you out of the moment nonstop (I sound like an old person, I know.) I'm ADHD and know ALL ABOUT constant distraction, it's exactly why I have never HAD a smart phone, I know what it would do to me, and my brain and life and head and thoughts are ALREADY stuffed and overflowing with thoughts CONSTANTLY. don't need no more. but I DO need more of this boogie woogie! right now!

As a man at 66 years old, I have played the Boggie Woogie song the way my dad taught me since I was 7 years old and no matter how good I thought I was getting as the years past, this one by Johan Blohm brings me to tears. This has always been one of my favorites. Thing of note: the piano is a Roland electric piano, which is highly regarded. That, and the quality of the recording may, may be part of what makes this such a great, full throated, recording. This is part of a Refreshments concert called "One night with the Refreshments" which is also on you tube, and the two songs which precede this one in that concert feature Albert Lee as a guest guitarist. They are also a couple of my favorites.

Many KZbin Boogie video clips have views numbering in the tens of thousands, and a few make it into the millions. This one with now more than fourteen million views, and incidentally that’s about 150% of the population of Sweden, clearly make it one of the exceptions. Why? Apart from JB’s top class composition and playing, the sound quality is superb, so is the camera work and video editing, it’s a great pity that it hasn’t been re-released in HD. It’s certainly my number one favourite.

Valerie ..
