People who get weight loss surgery always gain weight back because they don't address the mental issues that caused them to get that big in the first place. You don't get 400+ pounds because you simply love food. You get that big because you have some severe emotional and mental trauma that caused it to begin with. That's why shows like My 600lb life and Dr. Now piss me off. You never see him encourage his patients to go get a therapist and start some extreme, hardcore counseling. He just yells at them and tells them not to put food in their mouth. News flash, dude. That doesn't work. Shows like the Biggest Loser - They just spend weeks kicking the sh1t out of the people to get them to drop massive weight and bring in TV viewers. They don't spend the bulk of the show in therapy sessions. The people leave the show and immediately gain all the weight right back. It's disgusting what our society does for views and advertiser money. They don't really want to help people.

I'm pushing 280 pounds and I've been trying my best to drop it, but a job that's mostly sedentary and ADHD causing me to eat out of boredom rather than hunger have not been kind to me. I started going to the gym and was at least able to stop the weight gain, but I wasn't seeing anything drop off. So I talked to my doctor and he put me on some meds that, thankfully, are working. I'm down 6 pounds over two weeks. But I had to WANT to do something about it bad enough to admit that I couldn't do it alone.

I’m gonna give you some tips. Start off small. You don’t have to go super hard and hate your life. This goes for eating healthier and working out. There’s a lot of foods out there that taste amazing and are really good for you. It’s mainly a caloric deficit meaning you mainly just need to “eat less” through your day. Exercise doesn’t have to be a painful process either. Unless you like spending two hours in the gym pumping iron or going for really long runs. It doesn’t have to be super hard starting out. Doing small things like a mile walk. Or even a quarter mile walk until you work up to wanting to do more. or even just working out arm curls really easy like. don't let any of it beat you up. it can all be fun.

From Nov'23 to Apr'24 I dropped 60ish pounds now tell me that is not damn impressive especially through the holidays! I changed my mindset and the rest followed. I do 18/6 fasting with no sugar no carbs(I'm diabetic) no gluten and no seed oils, do I need to say I don't do drive thru any more!? I "cheat" maybe 3 times a month and not by much. I'm struggling to break 400, I've been hanging around there for almost 2 months. I just want to see 399!!! At my absolute heaviest I was 560ish! I'm 6'4" and come from a long line of beefy men, me and my brother are the first of our line to be fat 😢. It all started at the beginning of covid, I was hospitalized for months and all but died! The doctors at a point said to "get my affairs in order" and apologized. I didn't die, everyone was shocked I made it. I lost 100ish pounds in the hospital and slowly floated downwards through my recovery, diet first!!! Now I can start exercising and toning. I have to shop for new clothes!
