@62squad2 жыл бұрын
He brought me into gun culture, but as somebody who's now extremely experienced in that field, I have to disagree. In most states, a reliable AR can be purchased for a negligible amount over an 870. A shotgun is not a better option, despite what fudds recite. Not to mention, Ruger is a trash brand. If you're going to spend money on a .22, just buy a Henry (comes with a lifetime warranty, IF something goes wrong). I respect Kyle for getting me into guns, but his advice can be a little fast and loose at times, especially to ignorant people such as Boogie.

@privatezim36373 жыл бұрын
yeah, that doesnt make a lot of sense unless u have very small hands and the 226 is too big for u. Sounds like u are talking about something a little different tho. The lighter weight and less cycling mass of the 365 should make it easier to snap back on target, but it also means the recoil is going to be faster and more violent so it usually comes farther off target and is harder to track while recoiling. Bird shot is NOT adequate for self defense. I also don’t believe Kyle that he has killed deer with bird shot. Go search “Active Self Protection School shooter” and look at the video of the kid that shot up a college with a 12ga. He shoots a girl at like 2 FEET with a round of 12ga bird shot to the center chest. She didn’t drop, she didn’t stumble, she ran off and survived. It wasn’t a glancing shot. It wasn’t from her side. Just go watch the video. He damn near had the barrel against her chest. She was facing right towards him. I do not believe that Kyle has shot deer or anything large with bird shot. If he did, that was incredibly unethical. The bottom line is that if bird shot can’t drop a submitting 18 year old woman from 2 feet, why the hell would I use it against what could be a large, drug fueled attacker that wants to hurt me? Using bird shot for self defense is dumb. Sure, one case of it not working is an anecdote, not data, but when something fails so spectacularly, it’s time to think twice. Also, for those worried about over penetration and killing neighbors, please show me a case of that happening. Just one. Show me a case of a civilian shooting at a home invader and instead hitting a neighbor. I’m sure it’s happened, but it’s incredibly rare. Also, if you think that a 9mm or 12ga buckshot won’t go through your house and enter your neighbors house, you’re just wrong.

I think it’s more about the possibility of over penetration. You know the whole “every bullet has a lawyer attached” thing. I’ve never taken a deer with birdshot because it seems kinda inhumane but I have killed a coyote with 7 shot.

I got bit by an AK before when cocking it back. If you pull it back with your thumb under, it'll pinch it and make a lil cut on your thumb. Make a C with your hand essentially. Sounds weird but I was at a range with a friend's uncle who had an AK and I never shot one before. I was shocked to see that my thumb was bleeding a few minutes after. They suck ass if you want long range. Its an AK lol just cool to say I shot one. Not sure if id ever buy one myself tho. Id rather find an AR that I can hit targets with as well as hunt some fat deer with. GET BUCK!!!

You can't hunt deer with a .556 unless you're talking about an AR-10 which shoots a .308

Is boogies county's police department on high alert? He goes on a too morbid power trip when describing shooting a gun
