I don't know why people still hate on BF4 claiming it's broken. I play BF4 lots of hours per week and besides the minor bugs and the occasional network problems which was usually caused by my shitty ISP, I find more problems with getting a TEAM THAT ACTUALLY CAN BE CALLED A TEAM than bugs or glitches that is so game-breaking it stopped me from playing or made me rage all over the internet. My rig's not even top of the line but she's all I need for the job and I'd say nothing about the crap of an ISP I have. Yet ,BF4 is playable for me 95% of the time and loads of fun while I'm at it. I'm starting to think that most of those who still complain are those who: 1.) Quit playing it on its initial time when it was indeed buggy and never played it now, retaining the mindset they've already developed. 2.) Fanboys of other franchises who just hate BF4 and are hopping in the bandwagon because it's what "the cool kids do" and have never really played BF4 in their life. 3.) BF4 players who are in reality having fun with BF4 running similarly well as mine (probably even better with killer rigs) and are also jumping into the bandwagon because "it's what the cool kids do" and that so they don't get branded as fanboys for "being forced to like a broken game". 4.) Players who blame everything on the game and not even taking into account that maybe the reason for all the lag and fps drops are on their side of the table or on their ISPs. I seriously found someone with a ping of 350+ blaming the netcode for lagging. Cmon, some common sense please... That's all I guess. All I'm saying is it's not as broken as mainstream media claims it to be. Have a nice day and game on!

A good chunk of the games that fill in those yearly gaps are remakes or third installments of previous versions, with updated graphics. I'm not saying that Pokemon games don't come out almost every year, that'd just be ignoring reality. But there have been plenty of gaps in-between new regions, and major differences in story. The main games this millennium: 2002 - Ruby/Sapphire 2006 - Diamond/Pearl 2010 - Black/White 2013 - X/Y Remakes/Third Installments can be done based of the advancements of the those main games, like how X/Y and Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire are looking to have very similar engines in the 3D worlds. I imagine the next game after OR/AS will have more advancements than we will in this upcoming jump. You could even chalk it up to Nintendo wanting people to be able to access Kanto/Johto/Hoenn from a modern 3DS (with no GB slot). Think they're going to release a remake of FR/LG for the DS when Kanto is available in HG/SS? I doubt it. All I'm saying is if you take out the remakes and 3rd wheel games, they don't come out too frequently with that unique, new, content. I think that might have been what Jacuzzi Splot was getting at.

When I got Battlefield 4 on Christmas day in 2013 for the PS3, it ran fine. After about a couple of months I kind of became bored of it and stopped playing it for a while. Whenever I saw people having fun, they had all the new maps, gamemodes, powerful weapons, etc. I didn't want to spend an extra 50$ for that and the future DLC. Now Battlefield Hardline was announced and trailers started showing up with the Beta on PC and some other consoles other than the PS3. Hardline was the game that I had ever been hyped for the most so far. I played the beta when it came out for PS3 and it was tons of fun. I heard people complaining that it was a reskin of BF4, but it really wasn't up to the second beta. It had new original gamemodes and many other things. I thought it was a breath of fresh air compared to BF4. I played Battlefield since the first Bad Company which was ok, then I played BC2 which was amazing. Hardline was not a reskin just because it's on the same engine as the one used for BF4. Engine take time to make with being expensive and difficult. I got Hardline on launch with people being like "Don't get it at launch it's gonna be a buggy mess!" I knew Visceral was developing Hardline so it wouldn't have the same results as when DICE developed BF4. I am still having tons of fun with Hardline to this day, and just might get Premium with how much fun I am having with it.

For about 6-7 months it barely functioned whatsoever is the main thing people are salty about. NetCode was pretty garbage compared to Cod or CS, Battlepacks are a pretty universally hated thing, destruction is still laughable, not being able to customize soldier / guns in the main menu is the pits & levolution is a massive gimmick that never had the big effect on the battle like they hyped it would. There is about a thousand other problems but I don't want this to say (See More 50 Lines).

Netcode is horrible, even after the "fix". Killtrades, insta-deaths, dying behind cover etc. Also random "killed in action" moments, HUD disappearing, spawning without weapons, until recently dead people would result in invisible walls, killcam bugs, sound problems... and I haven't even said anything about game mechanics/gameplay yet.:|

I just downloaded the beta for Battlefield: Hardline and hope to play it soon (I suppose I'm one of the lucky few who hasn't really experienced any technical problems with BF4, though I admittedly have likely had less time to play it so far than others here). :) As others here have pointed out, the reason why B:H may seem more polished by this point than B4 was is because Visceral Games made this one rather than DICE (fun fact: Visceral Games created "Battlefield 3: End Game", the final DLC for BF3). Though I understand that to keep with the Battlefield theme this game had to remain pretty much run-and-gun (at least the mulitplayer portion), I was hoping that it would've instead been closer to what S.W.A.T. 4 was (as well as the S.W.A.T. series and early Rainbow Six series in general), from the planning stage to the cautious execution stage and whatnot.

as long as people are willing to buy unfinished games or even just preorder a game from a company thats famous for its fails,as long they will be selling unfinished bs. its your fault people. you made this happen. if a big percentage of the customers would wait till they know its finished, then they wouldnt act like that but noooo almost everyone is acting like a moron and buys crappy unfinished stuff and then complains about it. makes totally sense to me. these companies make games for profit simple and if they can sell you half of a game then they save money so they make more profit. they already started to sell you unfinished games with a big sign on it that says " HEY IM NOT DONE YET BUT MAYBE I WILL BE GOOD WHEN IM DONE" its called early access and people seem to like it even more. wooohoo i can pay full price or even more, for a game that maybe will never be done at all. so shame on all of you, who buy this shit. you destroy the fun for decent gamers who wait till its done cause more and more games are in a beta status or even worse and will never be fixed. tx for that.

Guys there is more content here than a normal expansion. We're talking about a new campaign and new multiplayer. It had the same content as any other Battlefield game. I'm not saying that EA should be releasing this without first fixing the predecessor, but it is worth more than $30. I do hate the extra crap they want you to buy though.
