Boogies Trains at: Liverpool Lime Street - 3 February, 2024

A short visit to Lime Street in the mid-afternoon of Saturday 3 February. There were no Avanti, East Midlands or LNW/WMT services running due to an ASLEF drivers strike. Other services were potentially affected by a related overtime ban, however Northern, TfW and TPE were running a fairly normal service. More variety you might expect with TPE using three types of stock and Northern running five. TfW seem to be mostly 197s in this area now.

Why don't we build a nearly straight railway with gentle gradients between Liverpool and Manchester? What, we've already got one! What's the line speed? Oh.
