At all the charity shops here in the states, you can find Deen Koontz in droves. When a natural disaster hits we can all loot these charity shops and build temporary shelters out of second hand Deen Koonz novels. Do u see the same glut for his books in the UK?

He does seem very common over here too, except his early SF books.

I get excited each time go book hunting . Some days you score, manage to a gem or two . And then some days you come away empty handed . I love those crowed book shelves, you get a chance mine for gold 😊. Fraught with disaster ,Lol .Remind me of my way over crowded book shelves . Hurt by tomes 😂. The Weird Tales are gems, and not cheap ( from my pocket view) but well worth it ( if had the funds ) Look at the cove art . Would love to see a book / album with all the cover art . ThanK you .

Thanks Sylvan! Yes, it's the thrill of the hunt for sure. Sometimes you get lucky, other times you don't. The Weird Tales are beautiful, iconic and expensive 🙂

that lovely Weird Tales collection takes the breath away tho ! i seem to remember Ken Cowley ( some may remember him ) paid a small fortune for a worn copy of the very first WT --- and it ddn't even have it's front cover ! funny thing is they're still relativley cheap compared with Superman & Batman mags........

The National Trust is always a bit too expensive. The other shop looks like a real treasure trove.

True, NT can be a little pricey, the other shop is packed though, ideal if you're a reader.

Those messy used bookshops actually discourage me from buying because they make me afraid my own house may become just as messy if I keep buying!

I don't understand your objection to pulp paper, since paperback paper is an even lower grade.

It's how it feels against my skin, just a personal thing.
