11:25 the 4 legged droid is a PLNK "plunk" droid, sibling to the GNK "gonk" droids. Unlike their two-legged cousins, they carry fuel around, as seen on the Rishi Moon in Star Wars the clone wars, as well as in several Venator hangers in that series. As such it makes much more sense to be in the hanger than a GNK droid, as well as making it far more logical to be explosive as the fuel inside is ignited by the high-powered blaster bolt.

When he was struck by the Jawas, Boba very likely was concussed. It is ignored in most film and television, but as someone who has had multiple seizures-and multiple concussions as a reward-the memory loss associated with it is constantly ignored. It’s a serious issue. I lost an entire day the first time. The memory isn’t fuzzy or weird or confusing, it’s inaccessible, sometimes for a very long time. I remember my second concussion, it took two years before I could recall the lost time. Most times you see someone struck in the head and knocked unconscious-especially with a dense, heavy or reinforced object-it’s a concussion. The effects aren’t handwaved so easily as pop culture would like to pretend.
@danielhughes59322 жыл бұрын
Ive never had a concussion from it, but i usually can't remember about an hour BEFORE my seizure either. Everyone says i was acting completely fine and then the last ten minutes complained of dizziness and inability to focus. Fun facts regarding The Sarlacc: the thing 'assimilates' the victims into a sort of trance like state and keeps them alive when digesting them, with the victim sort of becoming part of the Sarlacc. This is where the "1000 years" comes from. It keeps you alive in a conscious zombified state as it slowly digests you. Boba and Fennec killing it and everyone trapped in there was a truly merciful act. This also explains why Boba doesn't remember anything, since it's likely his altered mindset and the sheer exhaustion just blacked out his memory of escaping entirely.

"Umwelt" is the German word for "Environment." The relationship between the settlers, Tuskens, and the environment is always at play in the background on Tattoine. Is that anything? Boba had to learn to not rely on his armor and blasters and instead embrace the Tuskens' more naturalistic way of life to survive? Now he's doing something decidedly synthetic to save someone? Nothing really strong enough to make that make sense, but at least it doesn't mean nothing! Maybe it's just an inside joke in the props department :)

In Ethology, Umwelt means the "environment as experienced by the individual". For example, some animals can see into ultraviolet or infrared, so they experience their environment different than we would. The Mods would have a different umwelt than non-Mods with their enhancements. It's like they get to choose their Umwelt.

Yes, and with all of the mention of how the planet was once covered in water, I wonder if there isn't an underlying theme of global warming and the exploitation of natural resources.
@SupraJulie2 жыл бұрын
Umwelt is a term from German philosophy which literally means 'surrounding world', but is used to define the way one perceives the world (there is no English translation). Everyone has their own Umwelt, and the subject comes up in cybernetics and robotics.

As a German I can tell you that "Umwelt" (4:16) is German and translates to something like "environment". Still doesn´t make much sense haha

But with the constant mentions of how the planet was once covered in water, it could be a literal environmental message or theme tied to global warming and the exploitation of natural resources.

In 4:17 there is that graffiti with the letters "U-M-W-E-L-T", which is a german word an translates to "environment", i dont know if any german writer, director or set designer was involved but maybe that`s a sign for the people to care about the environment. (sorry for the bad english)

Ok that was a pretty good episode. Best one yet and maybe should have been the second or first episode. Taking out the bikers with the high rate of fire ship cannons was sweet. They deserved it and I’m so glad he got revenge rather than a peaceful or lame outcome.

I think they should redub the Slave I "the Freeman". It's a good bit of symbolism and would be a nice reference to Connor Freeman, a Rogue Clone's son from Legends.

Tuskens aren't what they called themselves, they are called Tusken Raiders by off-worlders because they raided an encampment called Fort Tusken. So Tusken raiders is more of a negative word for them rather than Sand People

I personally will always call it Slave I, but they are right that the ship was never originally called that. So like it or not, there is room to play around with the name. Whether it ends up being called simply "Firespray" (which I think is a pretty cool title) or something else, it will always be Slave I to me just out of habit. I really don't think it's that big of a deal what it ends up being "officially" called.
@ShooterMcGottem2 жыл бұрын
@@brettdiving2744 no its not a big deal it just irks me a little bit because its real world BS that's leaking through when the mandalorian did a great job of keeping it out (minus Gina Carano lol). Look into the lore of the Sarlac as it’s proper mental. They sponge up all the memories and intelligence of its food, so over a millennia they literally become really smart and a sort of hive mind. & they’re described as being like a plant animal hybrid. & have multiple hearts and stomachs etc. It’s proper hectic.
