Happy to find your Billy Showell video series. Thank you! I love Billy Showell's books and her Sennelier watercolour palette too. I've learned quite a bit from her books and also from her videos. I know it isn't for everyone, but I find that painting according to her techniques takes some adjusting, yet my paining has greatly improved as a result. Looking forward to watching more of your Billy Showell series.

Thanks, Dan! For those who are interested, some of Billy’s books are one Kindle. Watercolour instruction books look so much better on a tablet. The content looks so much more crisp on my tablet than in an actual book and there are no page folds so you can enjoy spreads in all their glory. My tablet is also smaller than the average art book so it does not take much space on my desk. I also like that you can zoom in on illustrations and examine the details.

Thanks for the review! I'm not much of a botanical painter so this is the first I've heard of this artist! Will definitely check her stuff out!! As for books I'm usually a mixed bag. But definitely a hands-on learner. As long as I follow along with a book, I learn a little something. :)

Is this taken with your new camera? I don't tend to like following step-by-step tutorials to duplicate a painting but I do like seeing what techniques different artists use and then adapting them into my own work!

No this was with my phone I still have a few videos in the progress that I shot on my phone. I often find it's hit or miss with tutorials, theyre either really good or really bad.
