I like Brian Godawa's books. I haven't read them all yet. My favorite is the book: when giants ruled the earth. It's a kind of summary of all the research he did for all of his books.

I've finished the full series. It's a great read. The spin off Chronicles of the Watchers and Chronicles of the Apocalypse are good as well.

Got a double version with both the Noah and the Enoch book combined. Wanted to like this series, but I found the casual, cutesy modern slang just too offputting. It's not written like most historical fiction or fantasy writing which tries to capture a sense of a world of wonder, honor and tradition through refined language. It's a bit like those TV shows about English or French royalty using Gen Z styles and slang. It may work well for some but I think that was a mistaken voice for this tale. Just my opinion and expectations.

@@EbolaStew wow I love your input...I'm a LORD OF THE RINGS FAN, but haven't gotten around to reading any of the novels yet, just watched the movies. What other fantasy writings do you recommend?
@EbolaStew2 ай бұрын
@@noticetv2022 It's hard to recommand anything after Tolkien, lol. He's the originator of the genre and the measuring stick for all. I don't read a ton of that any more but read more historical fiction, but I like Stephen Lawhead a lot and, of course, CS Lewis. For historical fiction, I love Steven Presfield. Another great author who writes across various genres including some awesome SciFi is Dan SImmons.

Not sure where that book came from but my field is comparative mythology and we are 100,% sure that Noah is not an original story but comes from a sumerian story written 1500 years before the Bible.. regardless there never was any global flood or a Noah it was copied because it is a highly complex symbolic allegory.. every biblical story is an allegory and 90% are recycled pagan mythology

@@4everseekingwisdom690 thank you brother. I love the Bible. I've learned so much from reading it. Each story is a lesson learned. It has now allowed me to think broader. And ask bigger questions. Like the dinosaurs and their extinction. Like what actually happened and what's the true truth. The Bible has been the catalyst to spark me deep into soul searching. Love it.

@@noticetv2022 if you love the Bible then learn exegesis (discerning true meaning) like the most learned Rabbi do.. Learn the P'shat (straight, direct, literal), Remez (hinted-at), D'rash (inquire, seek) and Sod (secret, mysterious). These four levels are called PaRDeS for short, as an acronym.. so basically there are 4 levels of depth in every scripture.. The important thing to realize is the level with the LEAST value is the literal meaning.. the greatest is the allegory

@@4everseekingwisdom690 brother I'm already heading there...not sure if you watch my other videos but I'm on a journey of universalizing the mind and expanding with all thoughts. At this time I exist outside the realm of Christianity or any religion. I focus on Love and where love comes in I can now understand the hidden meaning of what the bible is really tryna tell us and not always view it as literal. I'm not waiting to enter into a kingdom of eternity, when I know the "kingdom" and all its fruits thereof are within me. We can call Him God or others may call Him cosmic energy, all in all there is some 'source' out there that is sustaining our life force, for all life out here. I believe you may know a lot more than you're saying my friend, and I would love to start hearing what you have to say. Start your channel and help others to understand. I'm not closed off(ignorant) like some Christ followers. I'm a seeker of truth. With your knowledge, it'll be a great help for me to better understand. Thank you. Blessings to you and yours.

@noticetv2022 while my colleague and I believe the time is right for the ancient mystery tradition to come our of hiding a KZbin channel is not the way to go about it, for me anyway.. it's the mysteries that you want to focus on because every religion polytheistic or monotheistic is a mystery school in disguise... every "secret society" from the freemasons to Yale universities "skull and bones" is just a mystery school in disguise... the mason's even have their own "dying and rising god" just like Jesus named Hiram abiff. Hiram abiff according to the Bible was the master builder of Solomons temple who was killed and then returned to life.. Different cultures used different symbols sometimes it was a god who was killed and returned to life like Jesus dionysius and Hiram abiff.. sometimes it was about escaping the underworld like persephone and Orpheus or innana and Gilgamesh from sumerian mythology or the Aztec hero twins and in China the it was the monkey king.. which I believe is becoming a video game now... all over the world from ancient times are stories of heroes who had to escape the underworld, also called hades.... in my discipline it's the story of Odin and how he hung upside down for 9 days from the world tree.. in the Egyptian mysteries it's the myth of Osiris, isis and horus that holds the key.. what do all these stories have in common? In some way the main character conquers death.. and what is man's greatest mystery? It's death and what comes after... in those stories YOU are the main character who must escape the underworld, conquer death . Break the cycle of samsara and the only way to do this is to discover who you truly are.. On every Egyptian temple were the word's "man, know thyself" . and in the great mystery tradition you were taught how to directly experience who you truly are.. to KNOW by direct experience that you are an eternal spirit.. you must peel away the ignorance layer by layer .. you are not your body, you are not your mind, you are not your emotions.... etc the vedas call them the 5 koshas... that's what's hidden and where to find it . The prisca theologia that underlies every religion and is hidden everywhere in plain sight.. good luck my friend
