Thank you for that, I wouldn't have known to look for it being the same book. I have the Essence of watercolour but it looks like a few of the pictures in that are the same too.

That's a very useful book. 😄 Thanks for the tip about it being titled differently by various publishers. Sharpie's white paint marker has been doing great for me for highlights. However while looking at some of the brush pens you've reviewed/demonstrated I found a little surprise. Kuretake makes a Zig Cartoonist white fude brush pen. 😄 This seems like another good option for highlights so ordered one. Have a great day.

I like Hazel's ability to simplify scenes, and use bright colours along with the white of the paper.

I wonder if someone can tell me if Hazel Soan's watercolor paintings are on top of pencil sketches, or does she simply paint? (You will know by this that I'm not an artist... just very interested.)

If there are pencils, it's very light

She uses light outlines I saw some of her tutorials online and she does draw but just as a guideline

I git the Schminke Horadam 12 HalfPan Watercolor Kit , and a view Escoda Versatile's Travel and some Da Vinci Synthetik/Sable Brushes . As well as Hahnemühle 500gsm Paper and Arches medium rough 300gsm paper
