Thank you for the tag! Love the video and you talked about a lot of books that are new to me. Also, as far as a house fire goes, people first but then they are catching my books as I toss them out the window.😂 Yes, love it!

Fun questions. "The Ruins" and "A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" (and possibly "The Music of Bees" 🤔) are the only books you named that I've even heard of (haven't read them yet). It's always cool to learn about new possibilities though. I once gave away a couple of really nice books when I thought I was in love or something like that. In retrospect, I should have kept the books. Live and learn, I guess. 😉 Thanks for the video, and have a good one.

Aspirational book buying is a glorious treat, we all do it, don't we? I am just getting into horror: I've started with Shirley Jackson & Henry James (& Stephen King is next). What do you think I should start with? I've never read or watched any horror, but BookTubers, who have subscribed to my channel, have inspired me to have a go. I am enjoying it so far. I really enjoy your dry, forthright sense of humour. 'A Tree Grows in Brooklyn': what a fantastic cover - love it! Oh, I really like the cover of 'The Music of Bees' too - wow! Some great books here - thanks!

@@apoetreadstowrite Thank you for all the kindness. I actually did a little thriller/horror book recommendation video not too long ago if you’d like to check that out for a few ideas. If you’re beginning may I suggest “Sign Here” by Claudia Lux or even “Penpal” by Dathan Auerbach? I think these would be great for a beginning horror/thriller aesthetic. Of course anything by Stephen King is a great start but I haven’t read everything by him. My lifelong reading dream is to do that. And “The Music of Bees” is a sensational read! It’s a great friendship/self-reflective narrative.

Hey Trav! Great video. Thanks for the tag. Kill Your Pumpkins looks cute. I want to check that out. I knew someone who used to read the last page first because they didn’t want any surprises!! It used to kil me!!! HA Yay TJ Klune!!!! A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is one of my favs. It really shows NYC as a melting pot and everyone living harmoniously (for the most part) unlike today. I wish I could live in that time (with a few changes of course). Ooh show us what you cook!! You are always enjoyable to watch. Thanks for a great video!

@@BookBuds Yes you should definitely check out Kill Yer Pumpkins! It’s a great Halloween read! I cannot fathom anyone reading the last page first! I’ve actually never known anyone personally to do that but if I saw that I’d probably be like Aunt Pittypat from Gone With the Wind when she faints and the others are fanning her after Scarlett accepts Rhett’s proposition at the dance auction. I will have to post pictures of my “culinary talents” for you at some point lol. And of course TJ Klune! Wallace is a great character that I’d love to switch places with! Thank you so much for watching!
