That was so much fun to watch Mike! And thanks for tagging all those folks - I made a note and will take a look at their videos this rainy weekend.

Fun tag. Ready Player One is awesome. I'll go even deeper into unpopular opinions and say I enjoyed the sequel. Peace.

Thanks J. Im not surprised that if someone likes RPO they might appreciate RP2 at least for being able to spend time in the same world... Ready Player 2 was a big miss for me tho

I wouldn't put much stock in Moid's opinion. His channel has basically abandoned the sci-fi BookTube angle at this point and he's making home movies or something. Moreover, his grading scale is skewed. He'd frequently pan a book (when he used to do reviews) and then he'd give it a 7 or 8 out of 10.
@noeditbookreviews11 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've noticed out of all the reviewers that read the same stuff I do, he'll hate more books that I like.
@FIT2BREAD11 ай бұрын
Moid's a great guy and I truly was only teasing with the Ready Player One Stuff. He recently made solid arguments around why he didn't like it (recently on a livestream on Mikes Book Reviews). I blew through RPO it was such a fast and fun read. I'm probably the worst, because I like pretty much everything I read. I am working more on speaking up on the parts of books i think warrant more criticism.

I LOVE this tag idea...hope you don't mind me doing it on my channel in the near future! The prompts are really unique and I think I would have a lot of fun with it :) I also enjoyed Ready Player One...at least your not alone in that 😂 The Man in the High Castle has been on my radar for a really long time...the concept really intrigues me It's so crazy how differently books can hit at different times in our lives. Makes re-reads perpetually interesting :)

Moid's initial review of 3 Body Problem, and the fact he hasn't (I think)read The Dark Forest and Death's End. But he's right on Ready Player One. MUCK!!!😂 Unpopular opinion, I found The Mote In God's Eye overrated. As its lauded for its world-building and story. A book I reread and changed my opinion.... Loved Foundation in my late teens, found it slightly disappointing 2 years ago, aged 46. And my rereads of Aldiss and Simak are now mind-blowing, opposite of what I felt 20 years ago.

ready player one wasn't bad think people thought it was kind of YA or just plain silly but it has that great atheist rant and sadly the future portrayed in the bk could turn out to be close to what may actually happen but yes klara was kind of unoriginal and dull but he's got his nobel already and might not care much ⚛😀
