I'm so excited! I think I like unhauls more than hauls. I'm a book collector too and I only started unhauling this year, mainly books I didn't like or books I didn't plan on rereading, or having multiple copies (and a lot of my grandmas old books). I was taking 5 to 6 bags a week to the library to donate from January until mid March when they closed for the pandemic (still not open) but now I'm donating them to goodwill, since ours reopened for donations only and the local used bookstore. I'm not donating as much now but once I get like a couple bags full I donate them. I can't stop lol, it just feel so good to help my community. Edit: I also recently started getting rid of books that are on Overdrive and I can read or listen to there.💙💙

Sometimes I'm reluctant to unhaul books since I spent good money on these books. And sometimes they have a good memory attached to them. Or they were favorites when I was younger. However there are times when you just need room. For me, I try to give away books to friends who i think will like it

when i'm purging my bookshelf, i ask myself similar questions and i always ask if i can remember the plot on my own or like key scenes that i liked. if none of the scenes i remember make me happy to own the book then i get rid of it. and if i can't remember, i try to reread. great video!

I’m rereading the house of night series because I loved them when they came out over ten years ago, but I always think that it could have been condensed down from 12 books to like 5 😆.
