At this point, I’m fully convinced that Little Brown Bear isn’t even trying to hide the fact that they’re a Caillou rip off. 1. Caillou came out in 1997 while LBB came out in 2003. 2. Both shows revolve around a little boy and his mom and dad. 3. Majority of episodes in both shows revolve around the same plot, whiny spoiled kid always gets what they want in the end without getting punished. 4. Both Caillou and LBB had a book and TV series.

That’s how I’d fix the book: After mom asks LBB if he’ll ever says „yes”, and he responds with „no”, she gets an idea. She bakes a cake, and asks LBB if he would like some. He responds with „yes”, and then mom’s like „Ha, gotcha! You weren’t supposed to say yes!”. Because of this LBB gets ashamed and realizes what he did wrong, as he learns he can’t say „yes” only to the things he likes. He apologizes his mom, finally cleans his room and gets a piece of cake after that

I am a person who comes from a Jamaican household. I am mixed race but I was raised with a lot of black people and let me tell you how my mum who is Jamaican would’ve dealt with a little brown bear. I told my mum tidy up I put on my boots wasn’t gonna go to bed on time that would not have gone very well not in an abusive way but yeah I would’ve ended up doing as I was told. My mum is not and has never been soft when it comes to wanting things done the way she ask you. And she doesn’t believe in smacking as much anymore she did when I was younger I learned manners not because I was terrified of my mum but mainly because you don’t argue. You certainly don’t talk back in a black household. I don’t know. Maybe it’s different in America but I know the British Jamaican households do not talking back or they will do your job for you. You will not be able to find anything because you won’t have it anymore.

It’s not LBB’s fault. His parents are just really bad at parenting. Mama should have sent him to his room for 6 minutes (because he’s 6 years old) and then explain what he did wrong. As a child, this taught me to correct my behaviour before my birthday, because then the time would increase.
