I love that you shared about living in an older mobile home. I feel so seen. 😂 My husband and I moved into my grandmother’s older double wide that was empty for 10 years. We’ve been here about a year and it’s one project after another. Having a small mortgage payment or no mortgage payment is great though, even if it takes a lot of work and patience to get it where you want it. You aren’t alone in the struggle! Lol

Well if you ever want to give it a try, it is really fun! I started doing this as a hobby, then in 2020 moved in with my elderly father to be his caretaker, and after he passed away, it made the most sense to try and do this full time. I’m grateful for all the kind and supportive comments, and that I’m able to do this thanks to people like yourself! So thank YOU 😄

My parent’s old house has blue carpet just like yours lol. I personally think the color is cool, even though it’s really old. I think my mom wants new carpet, because it’s a bit worn out, but I think I’d miss it if it was gone. Is it weird that I love the carpet too much to want it to go?

Word on the whole Stardust In Their Veins debacle. I did the exact same thing, was so excited when my UK version showed up, and then I went to put it on the shelf. Blood started trickling out my ears. My OCD can't handle it. Why do publishers, who clearly aren't "book people," get to make these decisions? See also: the Across the Universe series and the Janice Hallett books.

Just curious, but what editions of Bartimaeus are they? I actually have the first edition of the prequel novel, The Ring of Solomon! I've had it since I was in 4th grade in elementary school lol. It was the only copy on the table that day of the book fair. I need to reread the prequel and some point, because I never finished it as a kid. How's the trilogy? Is it good?

I LOVED the trilogy-I still think about the ending. I think it was the first time I can remember an ending really hitting me, if that makes sense. I’m not sure the edition, I believe it’s just the newer US hardbacks, but the first one that came in was-I think-an older cover

Do you find it boring to peruse bookshelves in stores? (Or when you visit someone else's house?) 🤔 No judgment, either way; I'm just curious. We all find different things boring or not boring, and that's okay! But, to me, I find exploring the shelves in stores or when I visit someone else's house super fun .. kind of like it's my own little bit of an adventure, in some ways ... and so that's why I struggle to understand why some people always think bookshelf tours and such might be boring videos.🤭 😊 (( To me, it wasn't boring at all! I love hearing other readers' reasons for their own personal senses of organization/etc.-and seeing how many of our little reader/organizing quirks are the same or similar or not, and why.🤭🤭💖 Thank you for the tour; it was lovely! ^-^ ))
